Jrcoal5 said:Hope your ok, and this job is over very soon to give you a rest that is an awful lot of travelling xx
Today has been a very productive day, a MS company I do some jobs for said there were new jobs launching today so I didn't do any over the weekend and prepared myself for a full day today. I've done 13 at a varying rate of pay but earned £93 altogether, all of which is ready to pay. I've also managed a few surveys on Prolific, one earning me a £9.67 bonus so a very productive day all round.
I came home and gave the house the once over, just waiting for DH to come in from the garden so we can put the clean sheets on the bed at then its time to relax.
I think that will be it for my August money making but all in all I should have come close to £450 extra made in August. I'm being sensible and holding 20% back for tax though, don't want that same shock next year!!
Hope everyones had a great bank holiday, despite the miserable weather.1 -
I'm getting so bad at this!! Mainly because any extra money is going towards holidays rather than debt busting. As yesterday was the 1st, a few DD have left the account, so £431.88 has come off the debt figure now bringing it into the next £000 bracket so I'm pretty happy with that. (Must update signature after doing this)
The grocery shop was done yesterday, £62 for the week but there was a bit of meat in that, the freezer supply is going down now. I'm in Scotland again this week so this should last DH for 2 weeks of me being away.
Today is a cleaning day, I feel like I need to give the house a good scrub from top to bottom, that should keep me busy until DH finishes work at 2pm. We smashed our £2 coin pot last night, we needed it in the bank ready to pay our holiday in 2 weeks time. There was £804 in there. Just need to get some money bags and pay it into the bank. I hope the bank don't frown on it too much, I've heard people say that they will only take £100 a week and it will be a pain having to go back and fore that many times. I should have a look through them and see if theres any valuable ones in there!!
Anyway, I best get on with the day. Have a great day everyone!!Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

It was a good haul although I was hoping not to need to smash the pot until next Aprils holiday.
Today I finally got paid my expenses, £735 which has gone straight to pay the enormous credit card bill thats been building over the last month from all the fuel, dinners and parking. I also got my second job pay of £879, £800 straight to the holiday pot and £79 to a few bits and pieces that are needed this month.. I've been worried that we made the wrong decision with booking this holiday in November but I can now see it will be paid for comfortably on time, I feel a bit better.
I still have everything crossed that this is my final week in Scotland, the drive today took me close to 10 hours and I still have another 2.5 hours to get to my final destination tomorrow!!Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

I've been quiet again but must keep on top of this or the motivation will go altogether.
I have had a productive weekend, I've completed £90 worth of mystery shops and have a meal in a pub we really enjoy this evening. Prolific has been really slow, haven't managed more than £10 all month for that so far.
Tomorrow, I'm away for work again, this time to London. At least its not Scotland but I have never driven in London before and I'm not really looking forward to that. The positive is my room will be air conditioned and I have really struggled to sleep for the past few nights. Hopefully it will cool down a little today, I don't think I can take another night of it!!Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

You have done so well to have done all that you have? Having the holidays to look forward will be a great incentive. Which MS companies do you use and what sort of jobs are you doing. The ones I see are not worth doing especially if there is travel and parking needed?Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220

Wow, I'm so bad at this now but that changes today and I have had another lightbulb moment. The debt has not gone up, that has to be a positive but it also hasn't gone down (apart from the minimums). I think I have been trying to do too much and I have ended up in the position where I just can't be bothered!! Working away from home 6 days a week has been tough and then on the one day I am home I've been filling it with mystery shopping and chores so I haven't really had much time to myself!!
Whats changed is that I have taken on 2 more covert price checks, these will bring me an extra £110 a week so not a small amount. These are ones that I have 4 days to complete so theres no pressure and I actually enjoy doing them. I will no longer fill my days off with MS shopping though. I will still carry on the surveys, as again, I enjoy doing them and normally only do them when I'm sat down doing not a lot else on an evening.
The aim is to relook at the budget, as we are overspending on some categories which is why there is nothing extra coming off the debt each month. I think I'm going to look at doing a fresh start on YNAB, with a realistic budget we can stick to and anything that hasn't been assigned after all incomes have come in will go straight to debt repayment.
This is todays job, the first day I'm sitting down and doing nothing in a long time. All the cleaning was done yesterday so I could be free to relax today. I am only away for one night with work this week (tomorrow night) and then the rest of the week I work from home which will be lovely!!
My commitments are to check in here everyday, even if no progress has been made and to make that debt figure go down by more than the minimums each month!!Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42
