Again, I've been quiet but I'm still very much on the MSE expert train.
I have spent money today but its been a very money saving day. The pharmacy I am working in this weeks has recently been acquired by my employer all old stock was being sold off. I got:
5 tubes of toothpaste
8 packs of sanitary towels
6 Tampax
2 face wash
1 eye make up remover
1 face wipe
2 bubble bath
2 hairspray
1 hair wax
2 shave gels
4 packs of razors
For wait for it........ £19!!!
I still haven't cashed out from prolific but I have £85 waiting to pay out, a couple of MS planned for Saturday so still very much on track2 -
I got up at 3am so I could make my way home from Scotland and avoid the traffic. It worked and I was home by 11:30. That was my working week over and done with so I picked up a couple of MS and made myself £48 this afternoon.
DH has been off work this week while I've been away and has kept himself busy doing bits around the house but it came with a lot of I need this, I need that, none of which was budgeted for so all the extra money I'm making is covering over spend at the moment.
Tomorrow I haven't booked too many MS just a couple, again I only have Saturday before I make my way back up north on Sunday. Last weekend of this thankfully as I am exhausted.
I've just cashed out on valued opinions, it's taken me ages to reach £10 on there so I'm washing my hands with that now, they can keep the 38p I have left there. I'm sick of spending 10 mins on a survey to be told I'm not a match.
Hope you all have a good weekendTotal debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

Good afternoon everyone, thought I'd do a little update while DH is watching the rugby.
Today, I've completed £17 worth of MS and got £15 of groceries reimbursed. I just wish I was seeing some kind of benefit from doing these but at the moment I'm not. I had a £10 Tesco. voucher so treated myself to a bottle of wine for this evening and a tub of hair putty for DH
We did the weekly shop which is essentially only for DH as I'm away again this week. It came to £49 but there are some bits to put in the freezer that he will have when I'm away again next.
I was contacted by the company I get my second income from yesterday asking if I could pick up a bit of extra work. It will be an extra £300 a month so I couldn't turn it down. That starts straight away too.
I have almost £100 in Prolific now too so last day of the month I will be cashing that out and hoping it won't be to cover over spend. It is payday next Thursday but my credit cards are ridiculously high from all the work expenses I've incurred this month, luckily they will be reimbursed before the CC statement generates.

Blimey, well done you on all your trekking around for work *and* extra work. Not to speak out of turn, and tell me to b*gger off, but why is it coming out of your extra earnings to pay for things your DH says is needed? If there are household expenses that can't be covered then you shouldn't be working extra alone... Sorry if I'm being over-familiar! Not surprised you're exhausted, enjoy your bottle of wine x1

Ah okay, as long as he's contributing in some way! Did you choose a particular bottle of wine for your wind-down enjoyment? There are a surprising number of very decent wines that don't cost too much, I'm hoping that A*di don't clock on that their cheapo shiraz tastes the same as a fancy bottle about three times the price I tried some years ago 😁2

I've just checked into a hotel at Glasgow Airport where I am staying for the week. Dinner may be me mainly people watching, wondering where people are going holidays and being sad I'm going nowhere.
I've been in about 45 mins and already had £4.20 worth of surveys on Prolific. August has been a very good month to me when I usually find it quieter!!Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

Very money saving with the clubcard card, and since you swiped that's more towards vouchers coming your way too!
Absolutely not me refusing a couple of drinks my employer is paying for, never ever 😁
That's fab you're using your time to get a few quid in, but don't forget to allow yourself downtime too- you're not being slack to read a book or catch up on a show when you've been working, especially with your job that involves so much travelling and not having normal time to yourself. It is very money saving to give yourself chill time so you can mentally and physically keep on keeping on!1 -
Thats great advice @PennysIntoPounds I really should take that!!
The kitchen payment went out today so at last there is a little movement on the debt figure.
I think I need to do a new SOA as so many bills have gone up since my last one, cleared a CC and there a little extra money also coming in. Maybe that can be a bank holiday treat for me lol.
I fell asleep by 9pm last night, glad I did as I've been disturbed by the doors in the hotel opening and closing since about 2am. Thats the problem with staying directly on the airport site.Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

A bank holiday treat sounds a good idea, you should have little celebrations of making progress. Do you have anything in mind?
I was woken up at stupid o'clock by period pains, I was not happy. Hopefully a better night's sleep tonight- your 9pm bedtime is sounding lovely and I'm usually very much a night owl!0
