I've had a similar situation with changing address recently. I emailed them first, but also phoned on three occasions. They didn't update the address correctly after the email and first phone call, combination of my old address and new address. Second phone call they updated correctly, belts and braces called them again to confirm, my address was now updated correctly.3

Update:
E-mail today from DCB Legal, in brief:
Review of content of defence, informing me that they intend to to proceed with claim.
Due course court will direct both parties to each file a directions questionnaire.
Without prejudice client may be prepared to settle - ring this number within 7 days yadda yadda.
Please find attached copy of the claimants directions questionnaire which they've already field with the court.
The above letter of acknowledgement of defence was 17th Jan and with 28 days for them to proceed, I hoped it would just have lapsed. Ah well, onwards we go.

Yes, highly expecting spending a fair chunk of time on my Witness Statement before they discontinue.
Then I'll be relieved it's over but also bloody annoyed at the time spent on it!1 -
Update: N180 blank form received in the post. Will complete electronic version and e-mail over to the court and DCB Legal this afternoon.2

Update: Mediation booked for 1st April.1

Update: Mediation call held this afternoon.
Claimant offered a settlement of £270 (down from £302). I said no, maintained I would settle with the £1 that I offered right back at the day of the incident. Knew they wouldn't accept it.
They came back with can't accept that, will reduce the offer to £210. Mediator at this point acknowledged miles apart and offered me the option of no further offers, which I took.
Referred now to court, just had the e-mail confirmation of such.
Absolutely nothing to be concerned about by anyone about to go through the mediation stage. Girl on the call was lovely, very impartial and understanding. Just a word of advice - make sure your phone is set to receive private calls (I was very nearly caught out!).

Couple of bits to update on:
Last week had an e-mail from someone at DBC Legal. Without Prejudice Save As To Costs. Basically offering me a settlement of £100. Was tempted to respond with a raft of profanities but just thought it's pointless, ignored it.
This morning in the post received a letter (dated 1st May) from the local county court.
"It is ordered that
1) The claimant shall properly set out the statement of case pursuant to Civil Procedure Rule 16 no later than 13 May 2025 by 4pm, otherwise the Claim will be struck out without further Order of the Court.
2) This order was made without a hearing. Any party affected by this Order may apply to vary or set it aside within 5 working days of receipt.
Dated 25 April 2025"
