Hi all, quick pop in as I am heading to bed.
@London_1 so sorry about your friend's DH hugs
Tested again today and the same as yesterday, initially negative but a very faint line by the 30 min. I have read lots of stuff about this on the internet and have come to the conclusion that I probably have bits of the virus still but am not likely to be contagious now. OH is, unfortunately still definitely positive. I was more tired today than yesterday and really had to give myself a good talking to to get out of bed. I did have to go to the sm though as we needed bread but I wore my mask and whizzed around as fast as my feet would take me
I got into my emails ok but something has been going on as there were quite a few in my junk folder from things I've never heard of so I suspect someone's spread my email somewhere or someone else has been hacked who has my email address. I am not really worried about it now as I don't do internet banking and only buy things via trusted companies on the internet. Anyway managed to delete 300 emails before I got fed up with it but I will check it daily to keep an eye on it. The only other thing I have done today is empty the bathroom bin but I did notice the kitchen bin will need doing tomorrow but I was on my way to bed so it can wait
Hugs to everyone who would like one
1704 - 1706 emails permanently deleted
1707 bathroom bin
Take care everyone

Quick hello before I start rallying the troops as all need showers and in tider clothes for lunch today.
Final decluttering tally is 2006 for household stuff. Plus I decluttered 250 work emails/folders this week. I declutter my personal emails daily, but don't add these into any totals as an ingrained habit now.
Wishing everyone of you a Happy New Year however you are celebrating. This thread is so supportive, non-judgemental and friendly. See you in 2024 xx

Only one of my goals reached this year but I am so pleased with my progress and the end is in sight at last.
The loft has remained fairly empty, my wardrobe is clear of clutter both in the main part and the top cupboard. Paperwork is continuing to be reduced having decreased over the last 3 years from a very large desk with large drawers and a large filing cabinet down to just a small filing cabinet and a small box. There was space for OH to move in and although the food stocks are currently too high, we are working our way through them and I am looking forward to getting rid of the boxes in the kitchen next year.
So for those who are feeling overwhelmed or wondering whether to join in next year, please jump aboard and ask advice from us veterans as there are several ways of dealing with clutter and it is a very friendly supportive thread.
Thank you Mrs SD and fellow declutterati for all your cheerleading, help and support. Happy New Year and see you all in 2024.

Well here we are, the last day of 2023. A few of us will be glad to see the back of it. For me it has been stressful which would have been so much worse if we were living in a chaotic , cluttered house.
As I was putting laundry away yesterday I emptied every drawer out and sorted and tidied it. Quite a lot of things to go but they will not leave the premises this year so I will count them in next years thread. I am pleased to say quite a few things are leaving because they are too big.
Mrs SD, The cottage did have an open fire which we used to burn logs. I will see if I can find you a pic, I know you like a pic.
Oh, TC77, thank you for the picture of pencil extenders, there are several at my Mum's which I had no clue what they were.
Talking of stuff from my Mum's, I have brought home a tin of playing cards. Many from 1930's. Mr V googled one set of cow and gate snap cards and they were valued at £80. There is a collector for everything. I think I will send them to my local independent charity shop.
Condolences London1, I am sorry I sometimes seem to miss swathes of posts as I use my phone and laptop.
I had one of those sleep avoiding nights last night and was thinking about my goals for next year. I will move over onto the new thread. I am in maintenance but would miss the camaraderie if I jumped ship now. I can't even remember what my goals were for 2023 but what matters is I coped and am still here to tell the tale, Thank you everyone for your support and kindness over the past year. A massive Thank you for the generous Mrs SD. We wouldn't be this happy little band without you. xxxx

I would be lost without the lot of you inputting your hard work and being with you on your journeys. We are not alone. Being a procrastinator is hard work and a serious thief of time and effort. I have been here stuck in mire at times but have managed to keep going slowly and small. Hence one drawer in maintenance
Money has been spent on planning and drawings put together with the permissions granted but nothing else has been done about it. DH still thinks he is fit enough to do hard graft manual work.He is starting to come to terms with some of the problems he faces on a daily basis. I will be needing to take the bull by the horns and push next year to get some of this work at least started, even if its just getting prices for the big jobs.
I have achieved by keeping stuff moving in and out albeit a slower pace but it still moves
Just getting over the covid now and feeling brighter there will be some additions to the recycle bin from our house and will bring some more from parents house too.
Here's to 2024 may it bring joy and peace into your lives. Thanks to Mrs SD.
love 2 Scratters xxAnything is better than nothing-check back and see

I love reading the posts here, it makes me feel as I have decluttered even if I haven't, it spurs me on to declutter and it gives me ideas to do things or how to use things...And just sayin', big ups to Mrs SD for unending cheerleading, especially as this year was twice the work...I find it difficult to post almost every day on the daily thread, it must be like a full time job cheerleading here but it's appreciated..gold stars and medals to you!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi14
