Hi declutterati chums
The EDT moves so fast I can't keep up!
I managed to drop off 2 bags of stuff to the CS on my way into work yesterday. Today I've sent photos of a sideboard to a charity to see if they will collect it.
I've been shopping today and managed to buy loads of gifts on my list.
I got our male boss for Secret Santa, he doesn't drink and his only hobby is watching his football team so I was struggling with what to buy him. I decided on cufflinks and found a lovely pair in a CS for £2!! Very MSE
@vulpix - hope you enjoy the Book of Mormon - my DDs and I love it and have seen it 6 times between us!!
@Muddy_Walker, sorry to hear about disappointing sales, the snowflakes were very pretty, hugs.
Love to all
Deni

Popping in to say hello and hope that everyone is doing OK before catching up on everyone's posts. Real life has been busy, decluttering not happening between work, preparing for Christmas and Christmas related activities. Think I am pretty much done. I much prefer the traditional aspects and meaning of Christmas.12

Again not keeping up. At my dad's and trying to.limit what I bring back. Bags ready for cs and tactile recycling and also tip. 2 side tables picked up from my house and also 2 Xmas decorations , think that's 14 to go!13

@QueenJess If you really enjoy your stories and poems, maybe you can frame them and put them/some on a wall, for instance in the loo?Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5913

@weenancyinAmerica - I am so happy for Bella but completely understand how you will miss her. You have done so much for her and obviously hold her in affection.@charlies_tribe - fantastic work on the conservatory! Personally I would find it easier to tackle things room by room than to let anything back in there, however I am aware that we are all different. I hope you can enjoy going into 2024 without the conservatory hanging over you.I keep still finding random bags of stuff to sort out. Mainly things that have been stuck in the shed or garage for dealing with “later”. So late, in fact, that they end up mostly as bin fodder. I used to bag things up for the charity shop and put them in my car with some vague plan of when I would drop them off. Then cart them around for possibly hundreds of miles without remembering, or finding the time to drop them off. Mr MV then decides that he needs my car for something, takes all the bags out and stashes them in the shed or garage. Naturally, he doesn’t put them back so when I finally remember a charity shop drop off, the bags aren’t in the car! Joining this thread has meant that I just don’t do that anymore because I have seen how people move things on properly. Once my bags are full they are dropped off on the next trip into town and are considered a priority. I really do appreciate Mrs Salad Dodger and the declutterati for all the support and inspiration that I have received this year. I shall certainly be continuing in 2024 and probably beyond!21

I must admit it's such a relief not to have to just shut the door on the clutter as its now slowly disappearing.
When one my grandsons turns up next they can dive into the 'Glory Hole " (my cupboard under the stairs"and dig out their big sisters dolls cot. My late husband made for her 25 years ago, she is now married with two little girls of her own.
I will make a few sheets and a pillow from an old pillow case, and knit a little patchwork squared cover for it and it too can find a new home with my Gt Granddaughters
I can see it but its right at the back of the cupboard, so I will let one of the boys get it out.
It will probably need a good clean and wash as its been there over 20 years ,but It's still Ok and quite sturdy as my late husband made sure that Katie wouldn't break it or hurt herself on it.
I've just sorted out my wool stash, and I think its time some was donated to the local knitting club as I will never live long enough to use it all upI also have a stash of knitting patterns that I'll never get round to using so they can go as well. I seem to have acquired some small binocular I think I got them for my grandsons when they were your lads and they used to be out birdwatching so they can go in the charity bag as well as the boys are all grown up I'll keep my late husbands though as they will come in useful when we move next year to the IoW.
It's amazing the stuff you find that you've completely forgotten about. I've still not found my kindle though, and I know its somewhere around but no doubt it will turn upI put it away so safely I can't find the blooming thing
been really busy this morning and even got a line of washing out as the sun is shining ,last I'll do this year as I'm away this Saturday until the New Year
Onwards and upwards chums

Currnetly the bags are all in the hall. I tried to take 5 bags a few weeks ago and none of the CS (3) in the nearest village were excepting donations, so its come home again, but I did take it out of the car!Weenancy ~ so please your husky dog has found a new home with other huskies, wonderful for him, but must be sad for you (hugs)DH booked a tip trip yesterday and we removed 6 bin bags of textile recycling from the garage. DS1 had a massive sort out before he went to uni and most of it was beyond the CS. plus the rest had been building over several months, probale more like half a year! He also had a bit of a tidy in garage when he got the tree out.So that was good.Tree is up, but not yet decorated. Hpefully that will happen today at some point!!Have a good day allFlowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Been in and out of fatigue over the last few weeks and trying to get things tidy in time for Christmas. Still have a few cards to write and want to get them in the post tomorrow however need to keep some energy for doing family present run this afternoon plus picking up frozen homemade meals that have been cooked for me.
Several items into recycling, paper packaging from deliveries used as firelighters and a bag of food that came from OH’s that had been damaged in storage binned. It may well have been ok to eat but I am not taking the risk. We have plenty of things ood, some by a couple of years, that I am happy to consume and I am hoping to be back to eating in-date packets and tins in February.
Also been tidying and yesterday finally emptied wash bag from hospital stay several weeks ago.
This week will wrap presents, organise the fridge, continue tidying and cleaning and using up the tins and packets on kitchen worktop.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -

So 12 nags out. Onwards and upwards.
bit by bit I think you mentioned your DS and DiL had accumulated 30 bags of laundry. I think there are just 3 of them in their household so that is a lot of clothing/bedding. Minimal Mom on YouTube mentioned that since becoming minimalist, she finds laundry so much easier as it doesn’t build up and create the overwhelm.Would it be an idea to help them catch up, but only give back a small quantity of it and store the rest of it for them for the time being and see if they can manage it better with less in their home?Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅15 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday was a lazy day (even though I was up & dressed by 09:30) but I did manage to do 2 x LDFPA, finished another scarf & started knitting another one. I am also watching a new to me series - Vienna Blood. The jury is still out as I am not a fan of one of the main characters 🧐 Dinner was chicken, boiled potatoes, petit pois & sweetcorn. Wudupa. DSis & I also watched the Final of Strictly & were quite pleased about the winning couple 😊 It was also nice to see the group dance with the rest of the 2023 dancers (bar one).
2502 - 2504 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
2505 - 2507 Kitchen detritus, One Sunday sock, plastic packaging - binned
Just had a quick glance at the number of posts to read & got quite a shock 😱
Sunday is a bright sunny day - so cheering but also a shame I did my laundry yesterday 😔 So no more dillydallying, straight into cheerleading 🤞
London_1, sounds like you have enjoyed knitting dolls clothes 😊 Thanks for the reminder about planting bulbs 👏 Perhaps your DGS could pop along & plant mine 😉😅 Excellent work getting wiggle room in the freezer & using up most of your fresh vegetables 👏 Brilliant decluttering already & you should be in great shape for your move to your beloved IofW 🥳
Great decluttering & tidying of your work drawers Siebrie 👏
charlies_tribe, I agree that after such a stupendous & successful effort at decluttering the conservatory entry should be banned to everyone except the person who will be setting the table 😉 That is a lot of dolls clothing 🤩 Just wondering if you are selling or donating?
QueenJess, you cheeky little monkey 😂 I hope that your colleagues are also expressing their happiness for you to go along with the “panic in their eyes” 🤞Excellent work going through your old poems 👏 I do hope you keep a few of the “hilarious” ones 🤞 A future project possibly - making them into a book 😉 Excellent work decluttering & tidying 👏 & good luck with the selling …… AFTER Christmas 😉
Brie wishing you every success in persuading OH that a marathon decluttering session is a perfect weekend activity 🤞🍀
TC77, please, please try very hard not to bring furniture back from your Dad’s house 🙏🙏 You have been doing so well with your decluttering 😊👏 Well done on using the gift card 👏 I always think it is such a cheek that companies put sneaky little conditions in about their usage 😡 Hope you enjoyed your Friday evening out with friends 😊
Excellent work tidying up bit_by_bit 👏 It does concentrate the mind when you ‘must’ tidy up 😉 Also excellent decluttering 👏 I see that you are on 94/100 bags 🥳 Hope you enjoy your weekend visiting DB 😊
I have caught up a little so will post & make myself a second cuppa.
