After my post yesterday, I did sort through DD’s books. I didn’t get rid of much as she’s still young and the young kids books are really helpful for when they start to read. At least they are organised and tidy now. Got rid of them on buy nothing - I wanted some reusable snack bags on there and the lady wanted my books, so we swapped!
Also did a quick bit of digital decluttering. Emails I don’t count in my totals, but my inbox is back into double figures!
31-41 - kids books (buy nothing)
42-43 - packaging (reused)
44 - kids shoes outgrown (charity bag)
45-69 - digital photos deleted
I see lots of people getting rid of Xmas cards on here. Mine are still glaring at me from the window sill. Need to get round to them soon!2025 decluttering: 3,993🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

10-12 - Children's beach toys bought in Charity shop left for another child to enjoy.
Best rally the troops and get packing. Going to be a long day, hopefully be home by midnight.18 -
Good Morning all. Wishing everyone a good declutter in 2023 😊
1 box of mugs glasses and kitchen items to go to either church or charity. A bag of LO clothes and another of toys waiting to go out. She is growing so fast. I ordered her a new coat in the sale so if it arrives and fits, her old one can go out too.
I have made 5 sales on fleabay this week so off to a flying start!Used up some cleaning bottles which is great as more space in the cupboard and some cleaning has been done ✅ The recycling bin is sooooo full this week.
Fridge is cleared out cleaned and some batch cooking done so freezer partly restocked.I need to do some organising of toiletries and cleaning products as have too many.
Finding this thread very motivating- thanks to all 😁21 -
I’ve cut up the Christmas cards to make next years gift tags and binned the rest, the old me would be keeping them forever for what? I have no idea 😂. All decorations are away and in the garage, just need to strip the wreaths for next year but it’s raining too hard to be stood at the green bin.Count down to retirement 202321

A little bit more decluttering going on today.
I have someone coming this morning to collect two sleeper offcuts that have sat in our garage for a couple of years. The empty gas cylinder went a few days ago plus DH and I have emptied a box of paperwork from a club he used to belong too. Most of it has gone to be recycled but their are a few bits he wants to follow through on.
In the meantime the shredder has packed up!22 -
Christmas TV magazine- recycled
2 more magazines read and recycled
Hand care set to be taken upstairs and put like with like.
Another gift set unpackaged- contents to like with like (another candle, hand lotion, bath stuff) and packaging to be recycled.
Eventually the like with like may be / will be? culled but for now I'm happy to put things away in what feels to me a sensible manner.
Blowing a hoolie here.

Horrible weather here but decluttered small people for a few days. No enthusiasm for cleaning until decorating done and floors replaced. Doing things difficult as finger very sore from shutting it in door last night - easing off though both nail and other side of finger are black.
60 Committee papers for this week, downloaded and printed and read. I even read last minutes and thankfully there weren't any tasks I should have done (23min froglet of the day)
61 Checked photos from November/December and deleted rubbish ones on line ie pictures of my foot - need to download and save the rest
62 Various items posted
63 Bank form completed to send off
64 Dud pens in bin - it took me several goes to find a black one that worked to sign form above

Morning Peeps,
What a blurgh day so far! @GrannyKate well done DGS4 - start them young with his money saving
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger watch this space for the button tin exposure
DH yesterday did a garden tidy and started on cleaning out the gutters after he'd got involved in disassembling & cleaning the coffee machine. If the rain holds off and it's not too windy he will work on finishing that job. Bless him he gets very frustrated when he doesn't get a lot of jobs done, I say a job done is a job done and remember to look at the end of the week, it all adds up.
Today I need to do the stock take of the store cupboard this has been on the list all week
Decluttered a soup from the freezer for my dinner DH can have his tinned soup.
Have a good weekend all
2 Scratters xx

I cut Christmas cards up yesterday and made tags. I kept some of the fronts as I recycle them into new cards - Mr F used to buy Christmas business cards but since we married - saves money.
I had a lovely wreath given to me - planned to take off the greenery and keep the wreath for next year - Mr F demolished it - thought that I meant - I was keeping the decoration bits only - so now instead of a wreath to store - I have separate - lights/bow/baubles/robin/hanger!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
