Pottering day again today but I munched up and spat out the very big frog. Probably need to write a list of froglets as I have forgotten the ones I thought of yesterday. I should have 6 childless days coming up but we shall see. Contractors came but I need dehumidifier for at least another week.
56 Large frog letter written and posted for DS2
57-58 DS2 sold two more lego sets - one posted and one delivered
59 Birthday cards posted
@florenceem I was a bit worried when I first spotted your 5 sauce bottles put in a casserole but then realised it was the contents that went in the casserole not the bottles!
Found 5 1p coins on the ground when I parked outside postoffice - every little helps although claimed by DGS4 for his money pot in my kitchen.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Thank you for sharing everyone. ups and downs, always a positive place to share here.I still have a few aspirational things. A shawl I bought in 1975. For when I became a preraphelite beauty. Still waiting. Shoes also. I am more suited to walking boots these days than the dainty stilettos stored carefully in shoe boxes. I am a magpie. Love pretty ,shiny things.23 minutes spent tidying the gift wrap drawer. Plenty out including a stash of cards that I intended to make gift tags with. I don’t think I will ever need to give that many gifts. I will give them along with this year’s cards plus my Mum’s cards to a woman I know who makes cards to sell to raise funds for a lung condition charity. Her Grandson is a sufferer.Quick tidy of the house today and a run round with the hoover before going to see my Mum. 89 today. It is sooooooo nice to come home to a tidy house.12. Old glasses. Stood on them. Bin
13. 10 gift bags
14. 3 new rolls of wrapping paper
15. Jewellery boxes and pouches
16. Large bag of Christmas cards donated.Vx:22 -
GrannyKate - the sauce bottles were in the fridge and were practically empty - I couldn't get any sauce out so I rinsed them and tipped it in my casserole.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Evening All
I continue with my quest to declutter 5 boxes of paperwork, 44 pieces shredded, now about halfway through the first box.
Also sorted out the basket containing holiday brochures, catalogues, etc, 32 which were out of date have gone in the recycling.
Also found a very old broken phone and router in the bottom of the basket which have been disposed of.
Can someone tell me what frogs are? I've tried reading through the thread and can't quite work it out, us it just a really big task?

Frog =1 🐸 (photos 1st pass 1839 gone)Keeping something doesn’t make you richer.
Decluttering something doesn’t make you poorer.17 -
The frog is that one thing you have on your to-do list that you have absolutely no motivation to do and that you're most likely to procrastinate on. The eat the frog strategy is a prioritization and productivity method used to help people identify difficult tasks.
It is, however, based on the quote from Mark Twain - "If the first thing you do in the morning is to eat the frog, then you can continue your day with the satisfaction of knowing that this is probably the worst thing that will happen to you all day”
Yet another power cut and I managed to shut my finger in heavy door between garage and house whilst putting torch away afterwards. Ring finger nail now turning black and extremely painful.

I think a frog is something that you keep putting off that you really should do. Last years my biggest one was DS's Pip paperwork, sat there until the very last minute until I had to do it and then had to rush.
DD1 been again this afternoon so nothing managed. I do love having her and GD in an afternoon when her partner is at work but I never get anything done. I have rearranged my appointment next week as it fell at same time as DD3's (another little frog, I've known for a week I needed to change it but have major anxiety over using the phone.
