good morning,Florenceem ~ just more gentle hugs coming your way, try as hard as you can to be kind to yourself, its a frightening and very difficult time for both of you. The decluttering can wait, unless being busy is helping to distract you while you are at home. Either way take rests and be kind to you. Im sure the SA will rally round and offer to help in any way they can, just as you would be doing all you could if tables were turned xThere wont be much happening here over next 2 days, Im going with DD to my mums for the night. Hoping to take doggo on to the beach which he loves.Flowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Florenceem ,I am thinking of you, ,as the others have said ,please accept all the help offered .
it will not help Mr F if you are too tired .

Hi all,
@Florenceem, hugs and healing thoughts for Mr F and hoping things get better for you soon. Take care
Not much done over the past couple of days but I took a parcel to the post office and while there I asked about the letter that I had to pay for. The staff were lovely and checked it out under a special light and it appears to be a forged stamp! This has left me with another conundrum, do I mention it to the sender? Up to now all I have done is thank the sender for the card. Knowing where she lives and the closure of post offices in her area I think she probably got the stamp from a corner shop type of place and I know she will be mortified that I have had to pay for the card. What do others think?
I spent most of the rest of the day prepping for a union thing as I didn't want another long day sorting it yesterday. Annoyingly I missed the bin men as usually they come a day late after a bank holiday but they didn't do that this time and by the time I heard the bin wagon and got out they had gone. Luckily the bin isn't too full but it will be by next time.
Yesterday was spent mostly on the union thing but I did manage to get a 2 good to go box so collected that and all the lovely fruit and veg has been put away. The bathroom bin was emptied and 100 emails deleted so not a total write off.. I was also feeling a bit grotty so a covid test used but negative and I am wondering if it is left over lurgy or the start of the early year hayfever I get.
While sorting emails I came across another scam from, allegedly, the tv licencing people saying they were unable to process my payment. I wasn't sure exactly when this was due but discovered you can check your due date on their website so that was easily resolved but another clever enough to fool some people so that has been reported to the scam police.
Today I am off to lunch with my ex line manager so probably won't be much done today
Hugs to everyone who would like one
599 parcel posted
600 union thing
601 shopping put away
602 bathroom bin emptied

I would tell your friend about the stamps Liverpool Anne, so she doesn’t buy from there again.I hope some answers are forthcoming now Florenceem. Nothing you or your husband has done or not done has caused his illness. Please take some comfort from that. Xx
On the home stretch with the bathroom. I am loving the hive heating control and the no switch bathroom light. We just need to choose a bathroom mirror. The plumber has a bit more tiling to do,floor and bath panel.I am collating stuff to take to Oxfordshire tomorrow to DS and DIL. The tallboy they couldn’t fit in the car and baby clothes I have bought and knitted. Possibly a mirror DS admires. I am always moving stuff around and ringing the changes. The thing about buying most things second hand is I don’t have much attachment to them or feel guilty about the cost.I will update numbers again. Off to collect the new car.Vx:17 -

You are welcome ~FlowerPot~ 🙂 Sorting through all those singles sounds like a lovely way to remember your sister 😊
Brie, some lovely finds & some good decluttering 👏 I looked up the photo you mentioned - apparently he was on his uncle’s farm. A very handsome pig & I suppose James Dean is quite cute too 😂
Hugs to both you & that little girl fritzie-65 😊🤗
Yesterdays post is rather short as I spent so much time nodding off 😉 I will try harder today 🤞

A nice surprise today already - the wheelie bin has been emptied only a day late 🥳 & I have already put a new black bag in 🙂 Straight into cheerleading as I have fallen behind again 😔
EnergyShifter, sorry to hear that you are so exhausted ☹️ Hopefully you can now get the correct treatment for PTSD 🤞 Great decluttering 👏
You are welcome Floss🙂
Florenceem, I will echo what others have said - MrF is in the right place now & hopefully the doctors will find out what is happening. Please try to get as much rest as possible & please accept any & all help that is offered 🙏
Soontobeoap very supportive post 👏
Florenceem, I am gratified to learn that the Consultant Neurologist is both listening to you & taking notice of the information you have & are providing. If MrF is transferred to another hospital further away please, please accept all help that is offered by the many people who love both you & MrF 🙏 Public transport can be exhausting even at normal times 😔
Millie2008_2, I agree that Florenceem’s decluttering can wait although it could be that it is a welcome distraction.
Excellent decluttering Milli2008_2 👏 Hope you have a lovely weekend away 😊
Florenceem, I agree with Floss - it is extremely unlikely that clutter has anything to do with MrF’s illness. I have been remiss - one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way for being 3 quarters of the way to your target 🙂
Floss & florianatwobob - lovely supportive posts 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess & congratulations on reaching your 💎 award 👏🥳 I think you need a break & should pop into the TLC Carriage for a couple of days 😊
Florenceem, I understand your need for independence but at such a difficult time please forego that & accept all the help you can 🙏 As Floss, TC77 & Millie2008_2 have said, people like to help.
TC77, I agree that it is inspirational when others share & remind us of the benefits of having less clutter 😊 so thanks to both Floss & oceanspirit 👏 Sorry to hear that DD2 is so stressed about her A-Levels 😔 I am pleased to hear that you have a new colleague who once trained should hopefully ease the pressure at work 🤞 Please don’t be too cross at yourself re the coloured glass 😉 It is still at your dad’s place so next time you visit take a bit of time to sort through & set yourself a stringent limit on the number of pieces you take home 😉
~FlowerPot, lovely sentiments for Florenceem & well said 👏 Hope the weather is kind for your visit to your Mum’s place 🤞
Lovely post SuffolkSue 👏
Liverpool_Anne, I agree with vulpix that you should tell your friend about the forged stamp 😔 All I can say is so much for the Royal Mail’s assertion that the new stamps would be difficult to forge 😖 The cynic in me, thinks the change of stamp style is just a ploy to rake in a bit of cash & then the general public will stop using RM stamps altogether 😔 I am probably being way too cynical now but I think I might have to take the ‘Swap Out’ stamps I received to the Post Office & get them to check that RM haven’t sent me forgeries 😉 Great work prepping the union thing & doing a bit of decluttering as well 👏 Thanks for the warning about the latest scam 👏 Fortunately I have resisted the digital route & am still using the paper route to getting my tv licence 😮💨 As an aside, I often wonder if all these scammers turned their minds to more altruistic pursuits maybe we would have fewer problems in the world & more solutions 😔 Hope you have a lovely lunch with your friend & can see him when he moves to his new job 😊
vulpix, how exciting that the new bathroom is almost complete 😊👏 Enjoy your visit to DS & DIL & I hope the weather is kind 🤞
Craving_space, thanks for the extra reminder about various scams 👏 Makes me rather grateful that I am a bit of a Luddite although I do appreciate that everything takes more time to deal with 😔
All caught up, so will sign off & find a few things to cross off my To Do list 😉
P.S. The sun is still shining 🥳

@Florenceem
You need to save your strength for Mr F so please do accept assistance when it's available and ask when you need to. I like the idea of getting a ride one way - at the end of a long day it is great to know that someone is going to get you safely home rather than worrying about long bus journeys or having to deal with rain etc. Or falling asleep and missing your stop! Not so much of a problem here in the UK but in Canada I had a work colleague who had a bad habit of working too late, getting on the train and falling fast asleep. He ended up 200 miles past his stop one night!!
@Liverpool_Anne
yes tell your friend about the stamp. I know people sell stamps on ebay at a discount and it would be a great place for someone to sell forged ones - possibly without knowing. Otherwise it's someone selling them through a legit outlet, like a shop. Either way they should be reported to the proper authorities.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I took a lot of stuff to the charity shop this morning. Sorting out is helping me to keep busy before I set off to the hospital.
Mr F was slumped in bed today and hardly spoke - it is as though he isn't in his body.
I sit there and try to talk to him but not getting much of a response and definitely no conversation from him.
Mr F was transferred to another hospital this evening so I came home - I don't travel well and a ride in the ambulance from home to our local hospital on Saturday nearly got me throwing up. So a longer ride was not going to happen. I am fine on a bus or train or in the front seat of a car that is high up off the road - if it is a good driver and not jerky..
My Dgs called by when I was eating my dinner - said that I looked haggard - thanks love.
My Sister had left me 10 free range duck eggs in the porch - I must have just missed her when I went to get a bus to the hospital.
I got a bus home from the hospital tonight.
Off to bed soon.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Thanks so much, Florenceem, for sharing with us. You are having a very difficult time , but the NHS is taking good care of MrF, so that is one wee worry less. Look after yourself , it’s easy saying that to you, but we’re all behind you both, some praying , others wishing you well and we’re thinking of you both constantly. My husband who pays little attention to the declutterati ,as he call us ,is now asking me frequently for” any news about Mr F?”19
