Another book added to cs bag - I'm rereading James Herriott at the moment.
Completed a book of Sudoku puzzles - pages and cover recycled, wire binding binned.
Taken another Sudoku book out of the cupboard and the next James Herriott book off the shelf.
This is actually the up side of last year's decluttering....long hidden treasuresnow being enjoyed 😊

Lots of emails for me to read - I didn't get on here yesterday. Someone was meant to meet me at SA to help with food at 3.30. I went early so I was ahead - thank goodness as she arrived nearer to 4 but for a good reason. I think if I cater again for cafe Church - that I will buy more food - you can never tell how many people will turn up for an afternoon service but a prepared buffet is always well attended. I did 2 types of quiche/sausage rolls/cheese & onion rolls/cocktail sausages/white & brown cheese sandwiches/white & brown ham sandwiches/white & brown cheese & tomato sandwiches /white & brown ham & tomato sandwiches + there were crisps/chocolate biscuits and 2 large cakes.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good afternoon, ashamed to say I only got up at 12:15, not a good start to a new week 😔 c’est la vie 😉 DSis is obviously feeling better as she is up & watching TV. DH is already out on his first walk - no idea what time he left & I missed his first call. Monday is also another overcast & dark day but at least it is dry 🙂 I am enjoying my first cuppa & the thought that the day can only get better 🤞 13:00 DH has just phoned, he left at 09:15 after he had pumped up a neighbours car tyres 😇 The reason he is out so long is that he is combining his walks with his tour of all the underground stations - only has 25 left to get 🙂 14:00 DH phoned again & is on his way back. Also at 14:00 practice nurse phoned DSis (as promised 🥳) to discuss the results of her recent blood test. Apparently everything is fine 🙂 However DSis took the opportunity to mention the cough & feeling so ill & is now booked in for a pneumonia jab tomorrow 🙂 Meanwhile I have completed an MMiM - I tackled the first of three kitchen drawers - removed all the cutlery, cooking utensils etc & removed the organiser which I scrubbed clean + cleaned the inside & outside of the drawer. Washed the utensils etc that I was returning & relocated several items to the other drawers without washing - MMiM for next 2 days 😉 I went slightly over the 23 minutes but the drawer is now more usefully organised although nothing binned apart from a couple of elastic bands 🙂 DH got home 15:00 having done all 11,000 steps the last 400 in the rain 😔 I have had a bowl of hm soup which is getting better with age but now only half a bowl left which DH has just eaten 15:51 ☹️ Also completed todays writing with a fountain pen MMiM - 2nd half of notes transcribed into Notebook.daisy_1571, that is the ‘exact’ information I read 😂
I thought that was a good idea Floss 🙂 although I see from reading on that Brie already has that system in place 😅 to no avail sadly 😔
GrannyKate, you obviously missed your calling - Doctor GrannyKate has a nice ring to it 😉 I am finding that my handwriting is already showing signs of improvement - I write more slowly with a fountain pen & take more care forming the letters - shades of primary school 😊 A jigsaw puzzle from hell 😬 my problem is that if I had found 4 pieces I would have sat down & carried on until I got 10 pieces, then 20 pieces & the day would have been gone 🤣 Thanks for the reminder of the ‘1 minute’ method 👏- spotted a couple of items which are now where they belong 😉 Seems like we are all providing each other with great ideas like the ‘deferred decisions’ box 👏 Good luck dealing with yours 🍀 Excellent decluttering & cleaning of small bedroom 👏 A holiday to look forward 🥳
Thanks Crazycatlady2, curiosity satisfied 🙂 Of course that means you have two weeks to get hubby to do some of the ‘heavy lifting’ jobs 😉 only joking 🙃
Excellent work on your 2nd MADiM roundtuit 👏 - no wonder you feel organised 😊
Welcome back ruby_eskimo 👋 So sorry to hear about your dad 😔 & I hope he is ok. Very worrying but pleased that you are able to support him & that your work are being so understanding & supportive 🙂Sending hugs to both you & your dad 🤗 With all that has been going on, well done on keeping up with the day to day tidying & decluttering & sorting out both the kitchen & bathroom under sink cupboards 👏 Good luck with the wardrobe 🍀 & please remember to give yourself some TLC 😊
Lovely post Crazycatlady2 🙂
Brie, not sure you could make it any easier 🙄 Oh well, just one of OH’s little quirks 😉 Although well done to OH for the temporary fix on the drawer 👏 are you sure OH is not on this thread 😂 Quite right of you to point out that OH should be looking forward to your holiday 😊
ruby_eskimo, I think I would prefer the way your DH deals with the boxes & lids - leaving them out on the worktop for you to put away 🙂 My DH leaves items on the worktop when he does the washing up & drying up - he knows that I would sooner put things exactly where they belong rather than where he ‘thinks’ they should go 😉
Brie, eww 🤢
Craving_space, well done on your decluttering 👏 Remember moving slowly almost guarantees that you will not regret your decluttering decisions 😊
roundtuit, thank you for reminding us of the most joyous benefit of decluttering - finding treasures 👏😊
You were busy at SA, Florenceem 👏 Hope the lady who turned up late is OK. With all that lovely choice of food I am not at all surprised that the Church cafe is always well attended 😊 I am very impressed that you are still keeping up with your 30/31 for the 3rd month in a row 👏
Just had two consecutive knocks on the front door. The first was the neighbour whom DH helped this morning - she came bearing a thank you gift - a large bar of chocolate for DH 🙂 She & I chatted for a few minutes (way too cold for a longer conversation 🥶) - she was stuck in her house for 3 weeks as so unwell - coughing for Europe - apparently nothing the doctors could do as it appeared to be the new variant of Covid ☹️ She then told me about her friend with underlying health issues; she had gone to her surgery for a 5th booster & was informed that the booster shot programme is no longer happening - our government have kept that quiet 😡 🤬 2nd knock at the door was our HF box 🙂 DH & I have sorted the contents & decided on the linguine meal for tonight. The ingredients for the other 2 meals are now in garage fridge.
Will be back after dinner.

Hello fellow declutterers. Today I needed to get under the stairs to read the electric meter and decided to have a sort out too so spent a happy hour trying to get some order to things. All the decorating tools and brushes have now been sorted and like put with like. I must remember not to buy any more paint brushes, I could probably give bandq a run for it's money 😂. I binned several pieces of wallpaper, an empty wallpaper paste packet, an empty polyfiller tube, a broken paint tray and a box of filler which had gone solid, then the box went onto the recycling. All our house bins have been emptied and the general rubbish bin along with the recycling box, food waste caddy and a bag full of cardboard put out for collection tomorrow. I also sorted my bag of chocs, sweets, nuts and crisps which I keep for the DGC should they stay over as we usually have a movie and snacks, I like to be prepared. There were quite a few empty packets that hit the bin.
Take care all

You know me so well Mrs SD - of course I kept going back to the jigsaw and it was gone 12 when I eventually headed for the swimming pool. I was going to not go but gave myself a kick up !!! and spent an enjoyable hour there. Took it slowly but managed to swim 12 lengths, walk 36 and do some 'cycling' exercises in corner of pool. I hope my back isn't as stiff tomorrow as it was last week. I did finish off with 15 minutes in jacuzzi and then used their electricity for a nice hot shower. Got home just after 2 to find DS2 trying to get in touch for me to collect DGS4 from school as mum (ex Dil) had caught bug going round. DS2 was too far away to get home in time. DGD4 was already at home having had the bug on Saturday. I said I would have the two of them overnight and take to school in the morning so mum could go to bed. No more jobs done today.

Hello. Thank you for your kindness. You are such a lovely bunch of people.I had a day at home today. I have finally put the sewing machine away. In putting my craft stuff away I had a sort out, a few things will shortly leave.I have dragged the tallboy out from the pantry of doom. I have bought paint ,a good sanding needed first. I also picked up some wallpaper samples to use as drawer liners. This will be a quick project that doesn’t need much in the way of precision or effort.140. Leaky water bottle
