@Liverpool-Anne - I don't follow football but I thought of you when I saw the match result on the news. My handwriting has got terrible too - signature is unreadable. I was once sat next to a lovely doctor in a meeting and he leaned over and whispered - 'Have you ever thought you should be a doctor - your writing is worse than mine".
I have been attempting to do more of the jigsaw puzzle from hell - mostly snow and sheep. Not sure where I got it from but determined to finish. Put 4 bits in before breakfast. I will post a picture when I finish. I have done a 'less than a minute' wander round and put away half a dozen things which had a home but which were not in it. Will give myself a point when I get to 10.
I like the idea of 'deferred decisions' as a name for the boxes left for later. I think I will try and tackle one each week. This week looms with just one meeting tomorrow and then children from Thursday evening - so not much booked. I guess I need to chase up my tests results as we are now in week 6 and they said 3 weeks. I only lost 1lb this week but it is still progress. I am not finding it too hard to use the calorie counter and diary on NHS app. I allow myself one shortbread biscuit some days. The small bedroom which DGD4 has taken over was treated to a thorough sort and clean yesterday. I even cleaned the inside of the windows. Next room is probably the dining room. It is a long extended room which DGS4 has taken over one end of as his toy room. He also has wooden trains in boxes in my study.
349 Booked holiday for week after Easter - 4 days in caravan with DGCs - not far away. Money decluttered.
350 Random booklets and magazines rounded up and filed or disposed of in recycling.
351 Small bedroom cleaned out, hoovered, wiped down, floor washed, rug hoovered, window cleaned, stuff put away, tat to bin
Have a good day. Sunny but cold here.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

I'm going to sneak back in and say hello - haven't had a chance to catch up on the almost 2,000 new posts since I was last here...😳🤣
Reason for not being around much is my dad hasn't been very well so have been ferrying him backwards and forwards to the hospital for various appointments. He could go on his own but he gets stressed about parking at the hospital so at least if I take him then I can drop him off and then go and find parking a million miles away and he won't be late for his appointment. Work are being very understanding and supportive which makes a change to previous places I've worked. Think there's some scary surgery on the horizon for him at some point in the not too distant future but he feels ok in himself even if his test result say differently!
I've been keeping track of the decluttering that I've done, although it's not a huge amount compared to a lot of you. I did donate a small bag of clothes to charity and we've been to the recycling centre a few times with random bits and pieces. The house is relatively tidy (if in need of a hoover and a lot of dusting!) which is a miracle, but there's still too much "stuff" around. I think we've earmarked Easter weekend to clear out the wardrobe in the spare room which we use to just store random things in and is kind of overflowing for no real reason. I also have a huge box of shredding to work through too, which I might just actually try and burn just to get on top of it and then start from scratch.
I've also tackled a couple of jobs that were annoying me like under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Both areas are now organised and I know what we have so I don't keep buying random cleaning products that I don't need. I need to sort out my sock and tights drawers desperately but I keep putting it off. Maybe that can be a job for Friday when I have the day off 😆
Hope everyone is doing as well as can be, I'll try to be a bit more present on this thread as I really like it over here.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201716 -

As for the drawer that needed repairing the good news is that the OH fixed it yesterday! the bad news is that the drawer doesn't actually close now. Much ranting and nashing of teeth to which I've responded with a "it works well enough for now, we'll get it sorted when we're back from our hols".I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. My husband does the same thing with our boxes and lids @Brie but he doesn't put them IN the cupboard, just on the worktop above it 🤣
