on the surface my house looks clean but look at alit if things close up and they aren’t eg cooker hood, blinds etc

@Fizz2015 I do hope you have a celebration of your Nan's life, hugs
Brie hope you get hot water soon!
Notice my storage on my email was 269% what it should be and spent hours and got it down to 207% ... a lesson to deal with things as I go, and delete or save things. I have another email accountAbit overwhelming but going to move to email frogs so will add to this.
Realise that not just paper to sort out. I know some people post digital declutter regularly...think definitely the way to go19 -
4th MMiM done: come up with a decent weekly organising system as in the past 2 weeks we have forgotten a musical instrument, a pair of trainers and 2x wellies for school. 😳
I have allocated a small box a day, labelled and will organise it on a Saturday night (gives me Sunday to get anything else sorted for the week ahead) organised it today. It is on my shelving rack in the cupboard under the stairs, pantry stuff has moved onto a smaller 2nd shelf unit. Book bags have been added to the door on hooks so everything is together.
Oooh like the idea of MADiM @roundtuit, maybe something I will take up in April. X
Dc have made their Easter cards so we can get them posted in the next couple of weeks in case of delays.2024 decluttering Campaign

Oh and the OH opened the big bottom drawer in the kitchen last evening - the sort that should be used for pots and pans but we use for rice and noodles mostly. And the bottom fell out. So I'm now trying to think what to do with all these packs of perfectly good food until the drawer gets fixed (likely sometime in July......don't ask.....)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Popped up into the attic yesterday and couldn't find the one thing I went up there for. Just found it overwhelming up there and annoyed as I was certain where I had put it, but it wasn't there. DH agreed we need to sort it out up there, so I went up today and removed some storage boxes we don't need and sorted through a couple of boxes which have extra bits for the house that came with it when we bought it. Didn't need most of that. I then felt completely overwhelmed on deciding what to do next up there, so I stopped and will do another tiny bit another day. I think that's the only way to deal with it up there. I've started at the corner opposite to DH's stuff, so hopefully he'll be in a decluttering mood by the time I get to them. One thing I find annoying is that I have the structure for 2 of those wicker pull out drawer tower things. We are using 5 out of 8 of the baskets in our cupboard upstairs as they fit the shelf exactly. It feels a waste to buy new ones, but also feels silly to keep the frames. No idea what to do if anything about that! Saying that, I wonder if they will rust away up there. Maybe I should bin the frames and keep the drawers, but then if I got rid of it all and replaced the baskets the whole thing could be used by someone else... decisions, decisions... Plus this is in the cupboard of doom and 2 have my bathroom extras and 3 have DH's. I am intending for mine to dwindle down to very little so I have one in hand and one in the cupboard only. So maybe I need fewer anyway?I know I've made so much progress in the house over the last 5-6 years or so and I am certain I have much less than the average person (certainly less than the neighbours we've seen). However, it still feels like there is a way to go yet. Hoping to blast through as much as I can this year as I want to spend more time living and less dealing with "stuff". Will attempt some more online account decluttering later. After that, I need to deal with some health frogs instead of leaving myself at the end of the list all the time as the end of the list never gets done..2,827-2,836 - online accounts deleted2,837 - bathroom supplies used up2,838 - text conversation deleted2,839-2,885 - attic box house bits and pieces (including the box - mix of binned, recycled and one to Buy Nothing)2,886-2,990 - storage crates not needed (buy nothing)2025 decluttering: 3,925🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

All the plastic pots sorted through, lids matched and anything I can't remember using (like systema microwave veg steamer and also corn popper) is in the disposal room. Also MiL's small mixer. It's actually better than my braun stick with all the attachments but as the braun has all the attachments I'll keep that instead.
Now I just need to find a way to ensure the OH doesn't put pots in the cupboard with their lids firmly on, usually with the pot/lid not having been cleaned very well and not dried before being put away.
Oh and I have to use the square pot with lid that is meant for sandwiches (we don't use square bread....) for my little paint pots that I bought 3 years back to reconstitute the dried out water colour tubes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Hugs for you and your OH, @vulpix. Be kind to yourself x
Sorry, I lost track of whose it was, but that duvet-now-dress is amazing. It has made me look differently at the 2 duvet covers that I have turned out. I need to make myself some trousers (legs like a giraffe, although not quite as slender 🤣), and I am thinking that the duvet cover might be a good practice material to make sure the pattern fits where it should. Thank you for the inspiration.Yesterday DH went into the ram packed loft to retrieve a suitcase. Hurrah! He has finally seen that clearing the loft needs to be on the decluttering list. Just when remains to be seen.
I have finally made a start on my MMiMs, and sneakily added a few that can be done from the settee 🤣. So:
MMiM 1 bedroom drawer: 4 x headbands, 1 x broken glasses case, 3 pairs glasses (need to find an optician who will take them as our Sp£cs@vers no longer does), my mum’s blood donor card (finally ready for that to go).
MMiM 2 small bedroom drawer: small pickings, but it is tidier. 1 x handcream to the kitchen. Kitchen handcream (empty, but still on the windowsill…why?) thrown away. 1 x reed diffuser found and now in ensuite - it promises to revitalise me!!
MMiM 3 recipe folder (1 of many): recipes that will never get made into recycling, recipes in waiting put into the folder.
I met up with DSis yesterday, so the bits claimed last month have finally left the house.17
