1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH got back at 16:10, just after I started my MMiM of patching his jeans 😉 I decided against dismantling the non fitting jeans & just cut out a square of material. Jeans are now patched but it did take 2 x 23 minutes 😔 When I was putting items away upstairs I found a scarf I had started knitting at some point in the past 🤷♀️ Now downstairs & have resumed knitting whilst listening to Joshua Becker. I rather like him so ended up listening to 4 x 10 minute videos 😉 By this time it was 18:30 so started prepping dinner. DH went out on his 2nd shorter walk. Another day of 11,000 steps completed - 4 down, 27 to go 🙂 Dinner was pork steaks, mashed potatoes, carrots & cabbage. Wudupa.

Crazycatlady2, not your clutter 😉
Sorry to hear your internet is playing up weenancy ☹️ presumably to do with the awful weather you are having 😔 Lovely to hear that good things have been coming your way 😊 Well done to your roommates, hopefully they will continue to help out 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏 but I hope you were sitting down whilst you were doing your frenzied cleaning of your room 😉
Floss, I’m sure Brie ‘persuaded’ OH of the wisdom of sale rather than paying someone to take it away 😉
Excellent tidying & decluttering TC77 👏 thanks for the photos 🙂
Excellent work on both your MMiM & your MADim roundtuit 👏 I keep adding MMiMs to my list too 😉
Beautiful photo Muddy_Walker 😊 & I love your ornament - an owl? You do know he might fly away 😉
GrannyKate, nice to hear that your BIL is settled in at home & will hopefully recover better by being able to sleep in his own bed 🙂 Shame that your sister has no family nearby but at least you are on the other end of the phone 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏
Madbat60, you might not be quick enough but at least you are accurate 👏🙂
Dfw38, you might not have completed your intended MMiM but you did complete another one - getting the girls to do their homework & keeping them & DS entertained all day 👏 I hope you managed to exhaust them & they go to bed & to sleep quickly 😉
Florenceem, hopefully no one will touch the food 🤞 Perhaps you should put a lock on the fridge 😉
Good plan writing ideas in a notepad MadamMim2013 👏 I tend to write mine on scraps of paper & then lose the scraps 🙄 Good luck with ‘prying things from the OH’s overflowing pile of clothes’ 🍀
TC77, all I can say is it must have been a beautiful duvet to be able to fashion such a beautiful dress 😊
Fizz2015, sounds like you are almost at breaking point so well done on reaching the decision to contact your GP 🙂 Hope your nan’s funeral goes as well as these things can go 😊
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏 Also well done on reaching 116 neutral items out - one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂
Great work Dfw38 👏 you not only completed your intended MMiM but as it it had been waiting since Christmas it doubles as dealing with a frog 🐸 👏 What a lovely third crafting project & such a wonderful name ‘Lovesquares’ 😊 No stopping you now that you have found the sewing machine lead 😊
daisy_1571, I was also wondering what a platypus was 😉 although I do own a splatypus 😂
charlies_tribe, well done on completing your MMiM today 👏 Your comment about the cutlery drawer made me smile 😃 & has also led to me adding cutlery drawers to my MMiM list 😉
Great work on your emails DundeeDoll 👏
I will have a cup of cocoa & then go to bed.

Hi all, flagging for most of the day yesterday and just too tired when I went to bed to catch up but as I am now awake and on my 2nd cuppa I will have a read.
I had a sort out of the veg rack and found I have quite a few onions and potatoes so I chopped loads of the onions and they are in the freezer but I still have pleanty to use fresh. While in the freezer I remembered the tub of leeks in there so made a pan of leek and potato soup. OH and I had some for tea and 3 portions into the freezer. I will make some carott and lentil soup with the carotts as OH will not eat them but I love them but a bag full lasts ages when I have a full fruit bowl.
Quick whizz around the lr and stuff binned, honestly I don't know where it all comes from. I am currently working on the theory that borrowers are decluttering into my lr. Lr bin emptied. Got rid of a dead plant from the landing windowsill and replaced it with the pot of hyacinths which are opeming up with their lovely perfume
.
I have sorted through my tin of £2 coins I rediscovered as I have been told some of them might be worth more than £2 so I have taken out the ones with different backs and will take them to the coin shop to see if they are worth anything before I bank them. I am not expecting anything much as they were just out of my purse but I will enjoy the trip on the ferry to the shop.
Then I did 2 x 23 mins of email deleting, managed 600 so I am pleased about that. I seem to have a lot from someone who seems to want to give me free ebooks so I will open 1 on my kindle to see what they are.
This morning I have put a load of washing on while waiting for the kettle to boil but I haven't yet sorted the dry washing. I have had a text conversation with my nephew who is still in India but is now watching the cricket. He is planning on heading home early April as he has 4 months work booked with Peter Gabriel. I am off to catch up and I have the footy match today but hopefully will get some of my list done before I head out. So
483 sorted veg rack and uu / froze some
484 lr bin emptied
485 dead plant decluttered
486 - 491 6 x 100 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone

Morning all. Haven’t been on much as have lost my decluttering mojo lately. I think it’s a culmination of a couple of stressful months which have left me feeling tired and if I’m honest, a bit down. Think I need a while in the TLC carriage
As I say, not much decluttering done - just bits here and there. Went through some magazines and passed on to a friend who will appreciate them. Also sorted a basket of old paperwork yesterday so various bits of paper shredded and recycled and some old brochures and catalogues to recycling.
Does gardening count as decluttering? 😀 I’ve been doing a lot of pruning, cutting back and tidying so lots to garden waste bin and compost bin. Have to say the garden is my happy place and is certainly helping my mental health at the moment. However once gardening season starts I tend to spend a lot of time there to the detriment of the house.
Hugs to all who need them19 -
Also meant to ask what is a MMiM? Haven’t been able to keep up with the thread so missed this. Is it something in March? 😀14 -
After paying nearly £400 to repair our boiler it appears to want to be decluttered. No heat and no hot water. And I needed a shower but settled for a sink wash as thankfully we have a decent electric kettle. @Neroli2 MMiM is Mini Missions in March.
I'm also doing my own MADiM = Make a Difference in March.
MMiM 2/31 completed. I've given the bird bath a good scrub with hot soapy water and rinsed it with lots of clean cold water before refilling it. Old cleaning cloth and toothbrush used now binned. I then shredded until the shredder was full and emptied it into a charity bag. And decanted two part filled jars of coffee into the coffee caddy - the jars can now be washed and recycled.

Hi all, you have all been super busy, which is amazing
I'm still podding on, albeit in a limited way, due to pesky work!
This week I have to report
147- soft plastics to recycling
148- donation of a bag of food to food bank (forgot to count how many items)
149 DD's school shoes- will give to friend, as they have plenty of wear left in them
150-161- various items to take to work, for tombolas (I work for a charity and fundraising often request stuff)15 -
Thanks @roundtuit 😀
Commiserations Brie on your boiler woes. Having been without heat and hot water when my old boiler packed up, I know what a nightmare it is. The lack of hot water was worse than the lack of heat.15
