2023 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD

Many thanks all, and remember this was not overnight - since 26th December I have decluttered DD2's office and now my own. And today whoop whoop a friend of the friend who had left this stuff for me to look after till he had bought his own house (he now has) came and collected all these boxes. Carrying them to the car was certainly my 23 minutes! A box and a bag to the CS, 4 items to the recycle centre. Today i was doing young church and knew exactly where I could find a good selection of candles (we celebrated candlemas today though my evergreen wreath will stay on the door till candlemas proper i.e. 2nd February - lols re spaniel photo-bombingMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

I was quite worn out from my lovely day out yesterday so no decluttering today! Church, rest, catching up with a few friends on the phone & a quick food shop. I seldom bulk buy anything but its Greek Week at Lidl and I love the tins of aubergine 😋 !!!
Tasks- Alterations to the CS jumper I bought yesterday - I think I will actually get some wear out of it after all.

Carolbee: My friend lives in Westgate. I really like that part of the coastI have many happy memories of Summer holidays there as a child, my cousin had a caravan in Manston and I used to go there for the 6 weeks holidays.
Joanie: I'm glad the emails have stopped !
Charliestribe: Sorry to hear that you've had to deal with all of that!

@Brie I think you are right... definitely more grey than blue for Norwich skies 🤣. 2nd dd calls it 'Thomas blue' 👍 She also wanted to know why I wasn't starting the decorating in her shared room today and wasn't impressed with my answer that I couldn't buy everything I needed last night because she was acting like a terror in the shop 😆 but she said she would let me have today off and then I can get it all done tomorrow. I might go into hiding when we come home from school tomorrow 😉 tyrant in the making that one... who looks like a cherub so nobody believes me until they see it or hear it for themselves!
What amazing progress everyone is making through the ups and downs that life throws at us! The before and after photos and the feeling of space that is talked about show just how much effort was put in so well done!
I think where I normally declutter 'eclecticly' (sp?) I don't see as much as a transformation but I know that when it comes to putting things in the right places after the bedrooms are decorated and appropriate furniture is used I will see the difference.

🥰 I remember classified ads & slightly off topic I once went on a very strange date from replying to a lonely hearts ad. I was in my mid to late twenties & we went to a pool with water slides 🤔 Oh my goodness, the light bulb has just come on 🤣 - it was obviously the nearest he could get to seeing me naked 🤢 - how embarrassing 😳
I've had a busy day, batch cooking x 3, also trying to declutter some weight and this is the only way of keeping on track. Did a pile of washing and ironing, housework, etc.
I decluttered a pile of papers sitting on the side and I decluttered the desk, which also contained a lot of paperwork from work and various courses, as well as some computer stuff.
Shredded 53 pieces, recycled 103 pieces and 2 boxes.
Binned some very old software, antivirus and Internet CD's, marker pen
Charity shop, old MP3 player, mini digital camera, mouse mat, who wants to be a millionaire interactive CD. Printer - not sure if they'll want this.
Didn't get to the cupboard, save that for another day.
Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can

Mrs SD , you didn't tell us if you had a second date after the water slides
Been tidying up abit and washing up and tidying - with general rubbish out
Listed lots of things but all quite small but would like them to have a good home, and if not will try CS but I know not run of the mill ones...just about to add the Lady Schick portable hairdryer - it has a stand too!19 -
Just realised DB didn't check if it's working so will have to wait.
New scarf from gift set that DD2 didn't want, in CS bag together with a duvet cover that we haven't used, and a towel and pillow case into cat rescue bag. I keep old pillow cases as under cases but have too many and couldn't give to CS but animal charity means I can pass on.193 new total.18 -
Good evening all. DH couldn't get a plug replacement, there was only 1 on the shelf that had been ripped open but he took the ubend off to sort the blockage. Yesterday we had spaghetti for donner and I tipped the water down the sink and nothing has gone down since, the starch had set in to a great white rubber looking sausage. As long as we don't use the half sink it's working again.
The toilet took most of the day but it's been took out, bit replaced that was leaking, great solid chunks of limescale removed, the refill valve that's been faulty for ages replaced and all put back the kitchen tops have then been cleaned down just in case.
I've gone through a few emails while sat watching DH (they're taking longer now I'm on the 'focused' ones).
And DD3 friend has been here all weekend and they've been taking it in turns to ride dd bike. DH has fetched out DD2 old bike and DD3 friend has gone home with it. It needs some oiling and a bit of work but hopefully they'll be able to go out together now instead of sharing a bike.

Lots of stuff all over the place :-(. It WILL be gone.
