Thankou for my applause and 🏅 @Mrs_Salad_Dodger. Most gratefully recieved
Don't stress about the stamps. There is a 6 month period now to use them up in.
More sorting out last night. Another bag of paper and card out. I have a day bed in the craft room which I am using as a staging post for the clutter mountain. There is no matress so it is like a large slatted table. I have defined an area for some of my loose fabric/craft, an area for my boxes of mixed stuff which I have not ime to sort through right now. I am gathering excess packageing to put in the loft until needed.
I feel like I am definitely making progress which is great.
Today one decent size bag of batteries taken for recycling at the supermarket.Added to total.
Now off to inlaws for further cleaning and clearing.

I've been a bit quiet on here, buts thats ok, as you lot have been forging ahead!!Managed to book a tip trip this morning so a car load has gone out of the house.Picked up two lots of Olio house items, but these are going straight into university boxes in said childs room.Its looking like I will have 2 going off to uni in the Autumn so im on the look out for suitable kitchen bits and bobs, and putting them aside as they come up! I dont really want to be bringing stuff into the house, but this will save me buying later on. Trying to be super organised!!Not much else has gone on this week though, still procrastinating about decluttering the hall and under staris drawers!I should go and do it now really, I have no excuse except I'm about to cook a roast, but should be able to do both......I'll be back with an update!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Thanks to the posters who commented on my little cat . She has had lots of cuddles and fuss and i will be discussing with the vet although she is back to normal. Very definitely mid vomit daisy as she was about to do it on my bedroom floor! and i whisked her off to bathroom ( easier to clean up) . Although i do absoloutly see where you are coming from in considering a fit.
Will pop back shortly about my progress.18 -
@charlies_tribe
do you need any assistance with decluttering the cheesecake or buns???
@Bored
any possibility that you could freecycle/freegle both the books and bookcase in one go?
@SecondStar
since you're decluttering the ex why not leave him to declutter the house! pack what's yours, what you want, what you both agree you should take and leave the rest up to him to deal with. (or am I just being mean??)
@Dfw38
I add my best wishes for DC tomorrow.
Meanwhile - managed to remember to take the collection of dead batteries with me when I went to Aldi so was able to drop them off. Moved the big box of 50 (well may be 35 by now) bags of popcorn out of the car boot and into the house where I'll find a place for them to be available as reasonably healthy snacks. That makes room for the big bag of charity stuff to go in the car to be dropped off tomorrow.
Other task for the day is to tidy the tea/coffee cupboard. The OH loves his nice teas and there are about 15 varieties, plus the 10 or so types that I drink. Plus ground coffee for the cafetiere and over a zillion variety of coffee pods for the nespresso. I may unearth some hot chocolate as well.

Thank you @Deni_debt-free_dreamer, dd is nervous but I don't take any prisoners when it comes to my dc!
I am looking forward to the stacey solomon declutter programme, I find Dilly (if I remember correctly) terrifying with the decluttering 😳 need to get her on the Nick Knowles programme too and the people would be too scared to reclutter!
Managed 13 miles walking today but right knee was hurting for the last 4 miles so called it a day. Hopefully some weight loss will go hand in hand with this walking so will become easier in time for April. (I have 2 stone I want to lose, post baby weight - he is now nearly 2! Oops)
Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, i have looked at the schools anti bullying policy (copy online) and it uses a lot of definitions, and 'fluffy' language but lacks oomph to be honest. Will accost dds teacher in the morning and take it from there. The headteacher greets the students at the school gate every morning so we regularly have a conversation. If I am not happy with the outcome we will be having a conversation about dds situation.
Dh has also suggested I become a professional decorator when the time is right 😆. He told me he struck gold because decorating is the one thing he detests and he has a live in one with me and it doesn't cost him any extra! If I do take it up, you can be my first customer but I won't charge labour. For you, just cost of parts and maybe a knitted beanie! Right off to terrorise kids and decide what area to declutter tomorrow. Box 7 awaits!2024 decluttering Campaign

SecondStar said:This is true. I anticipate I may be tripping over boxes in my new home for a while! I’m thankful that I have 2 lovely friends with garages, who have offered to lend storage space if I need it. If my Stuff is out of that house at least, then I can go through it all at a more leisurely pace later on.
I am looking forward to owning less Stuff, truly. But it it also tempered against the old ‘but what if I NEED it’ chestnut, that I think we all have to wrestle with occasionally.
The psychology behind owning Stuff/wanting to be rid of Stuff is fascinating.
P.S. Thanks for my 💐 @Mrs_Salad_Dodger 😘2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Been at work all week so only a few items decluttered.
Have kept up the 23 mins a day, which have included reading, last episode of Wednesday, putting away the last of the clothes mountain and tidying the tea/coffee cupboard. Like Brie DH loves his many varieties of tea and coffee.
103 - 104 old shirts to rag bag
105 broken plastic tub to bin
106 more receipts sorted as been lurking in a pile on top of a cupboard since September. Mostly binned and £5 note found amongst them.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH & I prepped everything for tonight’s dinner - roast pork & trimmings. I am far less stressed now that I am getting DH’s help - as I am not a natural cook 😊 (even after 40+ years 😂) Bottom of fridge vegetables peeled, chopped, grated & a couple of bits from freezer used to make a soup which is now cooking on stove top. DH had the last piece of last night’s pie for lunch 😋 Birthday cards checked & those for posting now have stamps 🙂 Menu plan for next week to be concocted + To Do lists to be reorganised & prioritised + stamp swap out forms to fill in 😱
288 - 292 Holiday brochure, 3 newspapers, cardboard box - recycled
293 Kitchen detritus binned
What is that Liverpool_Anne - warm sunshine 🌞 - very envious as I love the heat & try very hard not to complain if it is too hot 😉 Thank you so much for sharing the other side of the ‘moving house due to break-up’ conversation 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way 🙂 Well done on getting washing done 👏& I hope you enjoy your afternoon/evening out of the house 😊
bit_by_bit, slightly stressed as I have 200 1st Class stamps so won’t be able to use them up even over the next 6 months 😉 Excellent decluttering - you are definitely making progress 👏
~FlowerPot~ Not only excellent decluttering but also excellent forward planning & organising 👏Congratulations to both your children on getting into uni 🥳 you must be so proud 🥹 Good luck with the multi tasking 🍀 When I start cooking our roast dinner the only thing I will do is knit as no decision making required 😂
gettingthrifty, Very pleased to hear that little cat is better 😊
Lovely cheerleading Brie 😊 I especially like your response to SecondStar - not mean at all in my opinion 😊 Well done on remembering to declutter the batteries on your trip to Aldi 👏 Sounds like a huge cupboard of teas & coffees 😉 you might be gone some time 🥲
Dfw38, You sound like a lioness when it comes to your dc 👏 I am sending lots of positive vibes for tomorrow 🙂 Reading your comments about the school’s anti bullying policy being rather ‘fluffy’ is a bit disappointing but I imagine there is probably some legal reason that they are not allowed to be more ‘forceful’ 😔 What a wonderful compliment from your DH 😊 As well as your decorating skills I might need help with your design skills 😉 I would graciously accept your offer of no labour costs BUT with the proviso that I would make a donation to your favourite charity 😊 I would also make sure that you were kept well hydrated & fed 😉 I might even be brave enough to let you take before photos for your portfolio 😊 to accompany your after photos. Btw well done on completing Box 6 👏
Excellent decluttering gettingthrifty 👏 Not sure I envy you the 23 minute gardening session but I like the use of cuttings to make the hedgehog’s hidey- hole more comfortable 😊 If the random method of decluttering works for you, I would be inclined to stick with it 🙂
Floss sounds like most of the items you kept were saying “I’m beautiful, you cannot possibly declutter me” 😉 As you say, decluttering is an ongoing process 👏 You are very welcome & thank you for my 😘
Excellent decluttering mfwin2019 👏 especially as you are working full time 🙂 Here’s hoping that the messy drawer is hiding another £5 note or maybe a £10 note🤞
Off to start cooking dinner 😉MrsSD (a superwoman) 😇 🎖💐🤩🏅🦸🏅💐🏆 💐
