Grumpy - loving the Bentley but not the most practical where I’m living. Why would you spend the extra and buy a Fiesta 😄
Silvercar - sadly electric not really an option where we live, no means of a charger at home, very few public chargers within reasonable distance.

You'll have to be quick if you want a new Fiesta.  Ford is discontinuing them, as they aren't expensive enough to keep Ford's profits up.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

There's a general trend amongst car manufacturers to discontinue cheap city cars.  They have all worked out that if customers can't buy cheap cars, then they have to buy expensive ones instead, and it's all done on finance to hide how much cars have gone up by.

Though what you call a "cheap" city car is really not that any more - £20k upwards for a Fiesta.
Ford have also, quietly, discontinued the Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy without introducing replacement models.  None of those were "cheap city cars".
There seems to be something much wider afflicting Ford at present - if they carry on discontinuing car models, they'll have nothing to sell.

The Focus also ending production in 2025

And the Ka faded away also.
    Plus the Edge has gone.

The Ford SUV's (Puma and Kuga) are both based on the same platform as the respective hatchbacks (Fiesta and Focus) so if the parent model goes, do these models get to continue for long?

That would leave Ford with nothing left.

Whilst most of the cameras are the boundaries some will be at busy junctions and such within the zone. Yes it is perfectly possible to drive around locally without ever being charged. You will soon learn how to spot the cameras. Do make sure sign up for the autopay and register your car for £10. Then there is no risk of a penalty for not paying.
£10 fee is being waived soon so I definitely recommend waiting before signing up. It's a massive rip off that they try to charge you as a resident for registering your own car. Dart Charge don't do that.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Any petrol car reg'd after Jan 2006 is compliant:.
A lot of pre 2006 petrol cars are compliant too, even my 2001 and 1998 cars are.

I've just discovered that although my 2018 euro 6 diesel car is accepted as ulez compliant in cities such as Birmingham and Bristol etc (as you would expect), the tfl vehicle checker for the London ulez shows that it isn't!

The vehicle description is correct but I now have to get documentation from Ford, plus a copy of my V5 and send this to tfl to prove that the information on their database is incorrect and get it updated.

It's worth checking your own vehicles, regardless of age, as the database obviously isn't totally accurate.
