Keep both emails safe.
If you don't get an IAS code within the IPC prescribed time limit, 21 days I think, complain to VCS. If you still don't get an IAS code then complain to the IPC and include both emails, highlighting the second one that tells you to ignore the first. At the same time, complain again to the landowner, their agent, and your MP that VCS have failed to comply with the IPC CoP which is a breach of their contract with the landowner's agent. Again, highlight the fact that the alleged event occurred outside the area where VCS are not contracted to operate and therefore unlawfully obtained and processed your personal data.
Any updates on your original complaints to the landowner, their agent, the DVLA, and your MP?
So far the only responses of note from my complaints are from MP's Liam Fox and Thangam Debbonaire. Liam Fox's office, who's constituency covers the airport, has offered to forward my concerns about VCS' practices and details of the alleged contravention to Bristol Airport, despite me not being a constituent.
My MP, Thangam Debbonaire's office stated that MPs cannot get involved in the actual dispute but they are able to follow it up if a timely response from VCS is not received.
Bristol airport have stated that any complaints should be made in writing to VCS with given address (no email), and has referred me to IPC or IAS, but have offered to assist in confirming the procedure that can be followed in this case along with addresses and websites to gain further information.0 -
My MP, Thangam Debbonaire's office stated that MPs cannot get involved in the actual dispute...Really? Plenty of MPs disagree!
Here is the 2018 background to the incoming statutory Code of Practice where MPs had plenty to say about how they get involved and how some staffers spend all their days dealing with mainly parking cases in the constituency mailbag:

Sounds like your MP is not up to speed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Your MP can and should get involved. The alleged event took place outside the area where VCS are contracted to operate. In other words, they had no contractual right to buy and process the keeper's personal data, which is a breach of the DPA 2015, the the GDPR 2018, and the DVLA's KADOE agreement.
Your MP should be asking the DVLA, a government agency, why they sold the keeper's data to an unregulated private parking company who had no right to request and process that data.
They should be asking the landowner, and the landowner's sub contactor Bristol Airport limited, and VCS themselves why the keeper's personal data has been unlawfully obtained and processed by a company who has no contractual right to operate where the alleged event occurred.
In my opinion this is attempted fraud by VCS. An attempt to obtain monies by deception, and Bristol Airport Limited, and the DVLA are complicit in this attempted fraud.I married my cousin. Sounds like your MP is not up to speed.
Conversely, Liam Fox's office has been more helpful than expected, having received follow up emails regarding what details to forward.3 -

Been thinking, as there is still time before the extended appeal deadline, and being as I would have to wait for VCS to make contact if the lesser charge is not paid, and then the full charge amount later this month.
Would it be beneficial to resubmit a retyped and more legible appeal? Or would it just muddy the waters?
If required, I can post the original and the already retyped new one for comparison (thought it best to ask first).
Your thoughts?0 -
A follow-on appeal will be ignored ... unless it is badly written and "outs" the driver, in which case VCS will latch onto it and you'll have weakened your case.

This is the camera car used at Bristol Airport.
Note the legend, Road Safety Unit, which is an absolute lie. Since it is a mobile covert surveillance system (and a mobile sign) it is required to explain for what purpose the images will be used. Failure to display this warning on the van is a breach of the CCTV CoP.
The driver spotted me then parked on a double red line under the No Stopping sign you can see behind the back of the van then followed me out.
