My car doesn't have a clock. Well it does but it's only visible when the key is first put in the ignition and then that portion of the dashboard changes to something else (outside temperature) and even when visible is off by up to 2 hours depending on the time of year. Car is a 6 year old VW so not ancient or anything. Just cheap. Using a phone isn't an option either if you are sensible to not be tempted to answer it and keep it out of reach while driving. Mine's usually in a bag in the boot with my laptop. And before you ask my wrist watch isn't very accurate either. It doesn't bother me as I'm not a temporally accurate type of person.[Deleted User] said:
If he can't look at it while driving, every car I've had since 1977 has had a clock. Most recent cars seem to set their clocks using radio signals. Otherwise he can check the car clock against his phone occasionally. The average person has at least one mobile phone!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Looks like the owner(s) of this vehicle are the type who use the MOT test to highlight important maintenance issues like worn & damaged tyres, brakes & suspension
In support of the OP, the clock on the ticket is 29 seconds inside the end of the restriction. Even a Rolex would need syncing up every few days to stay that accurate and it's quite feasible to have a very accurate clock in the car that just happened to click over to 4pm the moment before you turned into the road. I'd probably argue my case if I had time spare to attend court.Signature on holiday for two weeks0
