Barclaycard statement-are they issued on the same day as initial statement (or the next working day)

Correct, my Barclaycard statement is always the second working day of the month, so date could be the 2nd, 3rd or 4th depending on where the weekend falls.Vortigern said:IIRC Barclaycard statements are always issued on the same working day each month.
So if your last statement was on the 5th working day of the month, all your statements will be on the 5th working day of the month.
Bank holidays, and weekends are not working days for the banks.1 -

That would explain why mine is very stable, being the 1st of the month, also by coincidence that has rarely fallen on the weekend this year. By contrast Farfetch's dates bounce around a lot more being later in the month with more weekends and bank holidays to add variability.0 -
Which explains mine then, seems to be the 18th working day of the month - 19th in January due to bank holiday, 20th in April due to 2 bank holidaysVortigern said:IIRC Barclaycard statements are always issued on the same working day each month.

Beyond it being the Tue or Thur in the last full week of the month, there doesn't seem to be any logic to it other than probably being a fixed number of days since the last one
I don't use the app, getting mine through the website. The statement has always been there if I've checked after receiving the email notification.0 -
I don't use the app but in the opening page online I can scroll down below Recent Transactions to Activity Summary where it shows the date my next payment is due and the date of my next statement.1

Wouldn't it make sense for Barclaycard to let customers aware of this? I can't see it being a trade secret!Vortigern said:IIRC Barclaycard statements are always issued on the same working day each month.

I've logged in to the Barclaycard website before, but lately been using the App. Just tried logging in to the website on my laptop. Sorry, there's been a problem with our system. We're currently unable to log you in.Please try again later.I've been trying for the past hour or so. Can you login to website btw?
Can't seem to access the website now. Even if I could, would that info tell me that last month's statement period has definitely been closed? So, if I make a large purchase today, would that purchase be included in my December statement or January statement? I need to work out that the current statement period has closed. i.e. statement for December produced before making the purchase. That way I utilise the maximum 56 days interest-free period.jimmo said:I don't use the app but in the opening page online I can scroll down below Recent Transactions to Activity Summary where it shows the date my next payment is due and the date of my next statement.
edit: essentially, what I'm asking is, if you login to the website before you receive the email or before December's statement is accessible, would the website tell you the date of your next statement? i.e an exact date in January or if the December statement has not yet been produced tell you the exact date in December?0 -

Logged into the website without problems.
At the bottom activity summary, as Jimmo said, it tells me that my next statement is due on the 3rd of January, and my last statement was 1st of December. So it appears to work for me.0 -

Tried on my mobile (using browser - not app). Same error. Tried private browsing mode. Same result.
Seems your December statement has been produced and you can access it. I imagine mine will say next statement due on 07 December. I'll have to stick to the imagination as I cannot seem to access the info by logging into website.0 -
If the information provided about it being the same working day of the month each week is correct, and it holds up so far, then the 4th of November was the fourth working day of the month, and the 6th of December would also be the fourth working day of the month.OceanSound said:

If that works for you, your statement will be dated today, and available to you on Thursday. So, even though my initial statement date was 4th (which is more towards the start of the month than say 20th) the next month it's ended up with a three day variability. There hasn't been any bank holidays either. Also, statement is dated one day then made available the next. Honestly, is someone writing my statement on parchment paper with a quill pen?Btw, someone said earlier bank holidays and weekends are not working days for banks. Good heavens, statements are churned out by a computer. I don't believe the computer would care if it's a working day, weekend or bank holiday tbh.when I login to app I can see some info saying:Last statement: £ 2054.7704/11/2022
The date there is an indication that December's statement hasn't been issued yet. The only difference is that with the web you seem to see both the last statement and the next statement date.
edit:
If that works for you, your statement will be dated today, and available to you on Thursday.Thursday is 8 December. btw, when you say 'today', do you mean Tuesday 6 December? it's just that in the part of the world I am now you posted the comment at 2:57am on Wednesday 7 December - It would've still been Tuesday 6 December in UK.
If statement date is 6 December, that would make it the 4th working day, but how come 2 working days between the statement date and the 'available to me' date?
Edit2: I was able to login to website a couple of hours ago. I can see under "Last statement' it says "6 Dec 2022", and "statement balance: £0.00". So that means the statement period has closed and any new transactions I do now will appear on the next statement (not the 6 Dec 2022) statement.
Under 'Activity Summary' I can see it has 'December' then under that 'Today December statement is on the way'
When I click on the 'Statements' tab it also says there 'Your December 2022 statement is on the way'.
Still, let's wait and see if an email notification is sent once the December statement becomes available either today or tomorrow. Doubt it, since I never received one in November. I did flag it with support yesterday. However, didn't receive any explanation or how they will resolve it.
They did say some customers have reported issues accessing historical statements (including the November statement). I don't have any issue accessing the November statement. Only that I didn't receive an email notification.
