  • Morning all,

Well weekend was as expected really.

Took £70 out cash machine on friday

approx £10 went on Friday for some toiletries and takeaway round a friends.
    £45 went on Night out
    £6 went into my £2 collection (upto £56 now! :j )
approx £5 went on another takeaway

and have £5 left in wallet.

Could have been worse is suppose, i remember when i used to go out and spend £80+ and take money out on my credit card to pay

Was quite a relaxing weekend, didnt really do alot and ended up getting nothing that i wanted to get done, done again :o

Watched the grand prix! Fanatastic! :T Enjoyed seeing the Ferarri's doing donuts on the track :rotfl:

Still complaining to Barclaycard  IT has been esculated to a special team to look into now as I voiced my annoyance last time :D

Not alot else to report really! Time for a :coffee:

  • Right I felt it was about time i did a new SOA to see where im upto as feel like im treading water a bit at the minute and cheating myself, as although im making regular overpayments im not sticking to my budget.

    Income (per week) £285

    Outgoings

    Rent £20
    Fuel £25
    Repairs/Insurance Account £25
    Bowling Pool £30
    Weekends £25
    Weekly spends £10

    Total outgoings £135

    Remainder £150

    Debt

    Barclay card £1,000 @ 6.5% LOB
    Abbey £4,300 @ 0% Till April 09
    Loan £3,920.96 including all interest

    Monthly Repayments
    BC £35
    Abbey approx £100
    Loan £245.06

    Total £380.06

    Monthly Wages £300
Which pays for loan and BC with £20 left over.

Total available £155 per week to over pay debts.

Thinking on changing the BC to Abbey and cancelling the Abbey direct debit as i make over payments each week its not really a problem.

This would then mean the monthly wages would cover my loan with £55 a month left over meaning i could make my car repairs/ insurance payments down to about £10 a week.

This would then leave me with

£170 a week to overpay my debts plus the £245 loan payment making total debt repayments £925 a month (based on 4 week months).

This is £75 a month down on the original plan but i have had to increase my petrol due to the prices  and I have now included some money for the weekend which is more realistic I think.

Also will have the odd 5 week month so that will be another £170 over and above the £925.

    What does everyone think?

Sorry for the long post and i need a :coffee: after that!

The above sounds good but the 2 bits in bold confundled me. very easy, I am female after all. by the way chuck us a cuppa!!!!!!!

  • Hi P,

Aorry probably didnt explain very well.

As i would be transferring the Barclay card to the abby card the £35 a month DD to Barclaycard would disappear so £20 left over originally + £35 DD = £55!

    Hope that makes sense!

You wouldnt be able to tell anymore. Have nothing on my wrist and wear long sleeved shirts which cover the scar! ;)

You've probably seen me before and just havent realised it :rotfl:

One :coffee: and hows things with you?

  • Ahh frdvgtbyhujki! Makes perfect sense to me too! :rotfl:

Glad to hear it! Cant have a quiet P!

Wouldnt say its mended as such, still weak and cant lift stuff but hey ho, not alot i can do about it.

Still finding things hard, sitting thinking alot which is probably the worst thing i can do! :rotfl:

Need to set my self some todo lists to keep me busy and get motivated but feel a bit detached from everything at the minute so need to kick start myself.

At the minute i keep saying im gonna do things but not getting round to them.

    Enjoy the cuppa!

  • Right just phoned up and sorted out Abbey.

Went through and checked all my information was correct with them. Done Balance Transfer over the phone so hopefully wont have any phone calls this time!

£30 BT fee but im happier now it is all in one place again. Also cancelled the direct debit, unfortunately i've missed this months run so £2 something will still come out by DD

Just got to wait for it all to go through now and then I'll need to decide what to do with my barclay card

    a) keep it till for emergencies until my abbey card is clear and then close it. or
    b) close it now and get rid of another card.

    a) is probably the safer option as if i have any emergencies then i can put them on the barclaycard and not effect the 0% rate on my Abbey card.

  • Right with the shuffle new SOA looks like this

    Income (per week) £285

    Outgoings

    Rent £20
    Fuel £25
    Repairs/Insurance Account £10
    Bowling Pool £30
    Weekends £20
    Weekly spends £10

    Total outgoings £115

    Remainder £170

    Debt

    Abbey £5,330 @ 0% Till April 09
    Loan £3,920.96 including all interest
    Total Debt £9250.96

    Monthly Repayments
    Loan £245.06
Covered by £300 monthly wages leaving £55 which is going into my Car repair/ insurance account.

Total available £170 per week to over pay debts.

£925 per month payments towards debts. August and october are 5 week months so that will be an extra £340

Meaning 10 Months till debt free which is May 09

May 09 is later than I wanted as that will only give me 7 months of saving for the house. Gonna need to look at other ways of making money to speed things up. Birthdays and Xmas are going to be asking for money i think :rotfl:

Right need to get stuff ready to sell on ebay and get shot!Hopefully get the chance to dig out stuff this week and maybe list some stuff on amazon aswell.
