Phoned my local branch and the customer service line again and had the same problems, telling my they had upped there security etc and that one of the answers is wrong.

The question i think im getting wrong is what branch i opened my account at, now i've had my account for years, there are numerous branches in the city i live i told them which one i think it was in but it was years ago!!!!!!

I now have to go in to the branch tomorrow :mad: Ive now had to go and ask my parents to borrow money! And after the phone call yesterday how good does that look!

Hugs hun - not what you need - I had fun with the Lloyds TSB, they asked me the branch name, I gave it and it was wrong :eek: - I had not heard that they had changed the flipping name of it!

Have found out what the problem is :rolleyes:

The hotel we stayed in at the weekend have taken the money out but also have a second amount exactly the same pending. Have phoned the hotel and complained and they are looking into.

Also set up the password on the internet banking to avoid any future arguements on the phone!

Got 2 more £2 coins today, been going great guns with these this week! :j

Cant overpay today as my account wont let me due to the above :rolleyes::mad:

Bit stressed with everything that is going on but not too bad otherwise.

Just been onto the hotel and got told its not there fault, i told them it was and that it needed to be sorted. She called back and said they had removed the pre authorisation which should hopefully solve the problem :rolleyes:

thats good. I had that a while ago, hotels secure £50 in your account, incase you want to buy a round of drinks at the bar or get papers etc. sometimes they forget to release the preauth. beware though it can take a day or so to register at your bank.xx

Morning all,

Just checked my debit card and everything seems to be sorted with my bank account, although it still wont let me make a payment online to my Barclay card. Which is really frustrating :mad:

Will need to wait till tomorrow and then try again :rolleyes: If not i'll dig out the details to send the payment direct from my account, which takes longer but at least it will be gone! Seriously considering putting this onto my Abbey card if it is going to become a problem but will let it try and sort itself out tomorrow first.

Need to write my complaint letter to the hotel manager to see what he says about the situation with the pre auth not releasing.

Not alot else to report really. Didnt have that expensive a weekend as went round a friends for a meal friday with my gf, had a night in on saturday (makes a change for me! :rotfl: ) and then sunday went round another friends for a bbq! So spent about £20 could have been worse!

Counted my £2 coins the other day and am up to £46 which isnt too bad, my new bowling shoes are £75 so got a bit further to go but hopefully will get there soon.

Feel a bit better and more refreshed today, managed to get to sleep about 11 last night which is a huge improvement over normal! Although i do always sleep better when my gf is staying over

Just tried making an overpayment to my barclay card again and it still wont let me :rolleyes:

Have emailed them from there site as cash machine was showing as fine yesterday so dont see why it should be going through still. If they dont sort it im just gonna transfer it to my abbey card and get shot of it, as im fed up mucking about!

Not alot else to report really. Time for a :coffee: who eles wants one!

Well my trouble with banks seems to be carrying on :rolleyes:

Checked my bank account and one of the failed payments to Barclaycard has gone through. Nearly had a heart attack as had booked a cheapy hotel after for going away in a few weekends time and it didnt say it they would take the money now or when I went.

Barclaycard emailed me back saying that the reason my payments were failing was because my start date was wrong. I politely pointed out in my reply that there was no box for the start date, only the expiry date :rolleyes: Also pointed out that the "failed" payment had gone through. So just waiting for their reply now.

On the plus side i can now go and change my signature!

Also got another £2 yesterday so that has been added to the collection!

Right off to change my signature and get a :coffee:

:j Phoned up and cancelled my Mint card at lunchtime! So now only got 2 cards! They tried all the you could keep your card for emergencies and we could lower the limit etc but it is shut and gone!!! :j
