  • Hey P,

I knew your loyal diary readers would help me out! Sorry for the plug :o

Glad to hear work is busy! I do post on your thread but it seems to get lost in all the conversations that are going on :rotfl:

How are things at work? Have you got a new job or is it still the one that said they were making you redundant?

Congrats on the new car! Sounds good!:j

It's ok i see it don't worry. just sorry i missed helping you out with the advice! you plug away hon.

Things at work are bearable. tosserboss is still being one, but i shall continue on regardless. yes i do still work for the same company, they replaced me in a new role. i've also managed to get unemployment insurance now so if they try the same trick again i don't need to worry!!!

Can't wait to get the car, just waiting for my expenses cheque to drop through the door so i can pay it in and go pick it up!!

hows the wrisst doing? hope it's ok.

  • wrist is still weak as f**k, cant pick up heavy items. But normal every day things seem to be just about ok now (apart from reaching for my seat belt, still bloody kills!)

Thats great news then! At least it wouldnt be so much of a stress if it happens again. Whats the new role doing (pm me if you'd rather)?

What sort of car is it?

Bet your like a kid at christmas, i know i am when im waiting to pick up a new car!

Im looking forward to destroying the mint card followed closely by the Barclaycard! By which point the debt should hopefully be sub £8k!! :j

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry to hear wrist is still weak, have they given you exercises to do with it? using a stress ball really helped build mine up when i broke it, just sitting playing with it while your working should help. see if you can pick one up.

the new job is doing pretty much pure remortgage work!! yawn boring, only going to do it for a few months to get some more money in then am offski! yay! :T

I'll PM you about the rest, but yes i can't wait for the car, the monthly repayments will be, erm, fun, but i know with discipline and hard work i can do it so brng it on!!! :D

yes, squueeeeeeeeeze the piggy!!! if you just gently massage it and roll it around in your hand it will keep the muscles moving and getting stronger.
Also in the chemist they sell a cream you can rub on scar tissue to help it heal.

soon as i get a break in work i'll drop you that pm!!

Question is - is this the right thing to do? I would be loading one card up leaving about £1000 on it for emergencies. I would have NO other credit bar this one.

    What are people opinions?[/quote]

If you need to have some credit available for emergencies keep a card you've paid off for that. If you can't trust yourself put it into a plastic bag and then into a tub of water and put in the freezer. Don't use a 0% deal card for emergency spends,(or any other kind!) as you'll lose the 0% benefit as cc co's pay off your cheapest debt first. Payments made would pay off the 0% BT you made rather than your purchases. They would be charged at the "usual" rate after any 0% time for purchases was over.

Also if you keep the cards you've got once they're cleared you may get some BT offers which saves further applications and credit checks.
