Is anyone willing to spend a couple of minutes on the phone with me ? i’ll greatfully provide my phone number over direct message. You’ll quickly see im just a normal lad. call me of private. I just want to bounce a few questions or someone who knows what they are doing.

Only if you are paying for advice :D
    Telephone advice is never free
(Before anyone jumps am not touting for business) in my line of work i get of people referred to me via whatsapp/calls and it always starts of with "can i just..." and i am like yes you can ask advice but i charge for telephone time. You would be amazed how many people think peoples time is "free" and they have no intention of using your services.

So if I send an email to:

    sales@ukparkingcontrol.com

    And say:

    Hi, My name is xxxxxxx

Please treat this email as a SAR request.

I look forward to your reply

    ????

Is that what it says in the second post of the NEWBIES thread?

    Why don't you read that?
There is even a pointer to an example.

It also tells you where to find their Data Protection Officer's email address and it isn't sales@ukparkingcontrol.com.

I would address it to dpo@ as well.
You need to give enough to identify yourself, so the PCN ref, name address and  a redacted copy of the V5 and a utility bill. If you do not, they will play silly people and delay everything.

Something like ...... Please treat this as a subject access request. Under this, you are obliged to  send all data that you hold about me. This should include copies of any photos, all communications with or about me and any other data that you hold.

I note you have 30 days to action this

I would also do it formally : Dear Sir/yours faithfully

This is explained in the SAR section of the NEWBIES thread.

I even tell everyone how to find the DPO email of almost any PPC, with one Google search

In the second post which is all about LBC stage and court.

Forum acronyms are in the 5th post.

Because you started off thinking you have to appeal (but you are waaaay past that stage!) it looks like you need to slow down, stop reading the first post of the NEWBIES thread about appeal stage.

    That is not your stage.

Read ONLY the parts relevant to your stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I literally don’t understand the acronyms
Look at NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, fifth post, where most of the forum's acronyms are listed. If we had to explain every one to every newbie, we'd have never have got around to your thread.  Sorry, but that's the reality of the volume we are dealing with every day. Take a screen shot, or write them all down for future reference.
So if I send an email to:
    sales@ukparkingcontrol.com
I'd send it to their Data Protection Officer (see the 'Privacy' page of their website).

The template you use is that linked in the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, which takes you to the one shown on the LegalBeagles forum.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I can give name and address and previous address. If i’m emailing do you mean just attaching a PDF copy of a utility bill?

Yes, pdf should do it. Maybe two bills (redacted) so they cannot mess about.

Also, if there is any chance at all that they have an old address on record, you need to tell the DPO to erase it and only use (current address)

  • Thanks. right so i’ve got a draft email to go. i’ll include that about deleting the old address.

Of i’m being honest, i’ve got a little one and live a busy life. Recognise i’m probably being lazy but I just don’t have time to become an expert on this.

The only thing i’m missing now is who to actually send it too. I’ve checked coupon mad post: found the SAR section but can’t find where it says how to find the DPO email of UKPC

is it a crime to list it in here ?
