  • Just posting here as this is a fab thread, will there be one for January? I’d love to join along and have a go

  • Hello, I've been tracking my profit and I've made £194.54 since my last post. Hope you've all had a great Christmas x

There’s one each month thanks to the lovely people who have founded/continue to run this thread.
  • £24 since 23rd December.
EBay sale, Curious Cat surveys, Cashback.
Total this month as we near the end is £560 - I can’t say I never would have expected this as I used to do this challenge years back and had a couple of good months before following this thread, but it’s very encouraging and spurring me on to another month of decluttering, selling and surveys.
    Thanks all for ongoing inspiration.

  • £2.06  just cashed out from Qm/e. Roll on January when things will start looking up again .

Hi everyone! I hope you've all had a good Christmas! I haven't had time to sit down this month; it has just flown by.

Well done to everyone who has reached their target! I think everyone did from reading through the thread. I am calling it a day for December as we're going away for a couple of days over new year with my father and step mother.

    I need to add:

    £23.83 from Prolific
    £42.00 from mystery shopping

That gives me £311.79! Almost exactly my £10 a day, which delights me!!

I need to ramp back up to £20 a day for January. I have 'invested' in a covert video camera for higher paying mystery shops! It was £80, so I need to make sure it pays for itself. I'm also wanting to escape for a few days in January, and of course, I have run out of money until pay day.... which is a long way off! (I've budgeted all my groceries and bills etc thanks to my new found money managing following others on this forum!!!)

I'll go ahead a fire up the new thread for January - I'll try to put it into the correct place this time!

Brilliant @Deleted_User. Yes thanks - did you?

Yes, I'll post that up now; you're very welcome to join us. We're all doing very different things, but giving each other extra ideas as well, so if you need some inspiration, just ask anyone here!

@holly_hobby I hope you're doing okay? My mood goes on a little roller coaster over December, and yesterday I was ready to leave home, today I'm perfectly fine. Maybe it's SADs, maybe it's the stress of making everyone happy over Christmas and it never quite being what you imagine in your head - I don't know! But I'm ready for January and getting back to work.

@jokono and @Makingabobor2 nailed it again!

  • I'll definitely be joining in when the January thread is posted. I used to complete this challenge religiously when it was run by Aesop about 5 or 6 years ago.
Back then I used to make my £10 through mystery shopping but I don't do that anymore unless I get offered something last minute with a good enough fee. So I'll have to have a think of some other ways to male it beside surveys.
Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42
    Current debt May 2024- £40,064.57
    Repaid 39.42%
