Challenge to make an extra £10 a day in December 2022 ~ Everyone Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to this month's challenge. This is the 184th month of the challenge which was started by Batgirl in September 2007.
The purpose of this challenge is to try and make an extra £10 a day on top of your normal income to help things along eg paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages or even extra spending money. Every little helps!
Here is a link to the original thread as I am sure some of you are interested to read where it all began.
The purpose of this challenge is to try and make an extra £10 a day on top of your normal income to help things along eg paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages or even extra spending money. Every little helps!
If you feel £10 is too much, why not start at £5 (or less if you want)? Or, if you're brave, join those who aim for £20 a day! Anything extra you make is great so set whatever target you think you can manage. It also doesn't have to be £10 each and every day - some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for £310 (or whatever your target is) extra at the end of the month.
The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money. This isn't a competition to see who can make the most; everyone is on their own journey and doing a variety of different activities to raise extra funds, so please set your own target, do your own thing,
Thanks to Batgirl for starting it and for everyone who has kept it going for over 15 years.
Hope you join us and see how much you can make this month! If you would like some ideas, or recommendations, or just check-in for a bit of encouragement, this thread is for you!

Below are some ideas to get you started and a great place to read when you're in need of inspiration.
Cashback on things you're buying - Topcashback and Quidco are the two main sites along with Swagbucks. Some bank accounts and credit cards also give cashback so check out yours.
Sell your old books/DVDs/CDs/games here:
Amazon.co.uk, play.com, webuybooks, zapper, CEX
eBay - a place to sell anything and everything.
Gumtree, Preloved, cquot, ebid, craigslist, vivastreet, netmums.com, trade-it , Friday ad, priceminster - these are all places you can sell items too.
Survey sites - mysurvey and pinecone, prolific academic tend to be the best but there are many more it really depends on you finding the ones that work best for you - toluna, harris poll, valued opinions etc
also join Topcashback and Quidco - type in surveys in the search engine and some will pay you to join up with them.
Make money from recycling - mobiles, ink cartridges,
etsy and folksy - If you enjoy making crafts why not have a go at selling them on etsy or folksy. They've been getting increasingly busier each year.
Collect loyalty points for shopping - Tesco clubcard, Boots Advantage card, Morrisons More card, Superdrug Beautycard, Nectar card (please let me know if there are any more loyalty cards to add)
You can also go through Nectar to earn points for shopping at ebay.
Trying to find other ways to make money? Check out the Boost Your Income board. It is full of ideas, including survey companies and product testing.
Keep reading for lots more ideas on how to make more money each month.

Ooh am I the first to post?.....I'm in again for this month. Target will be £5 a day again, so £155 in total. Not sure how well it will go with it being Christmas. I'd like to think that by the new year, I can aim for £10, but we'll see. Would rather smash my target than fail.
So starting off the month with £5 which landed in my PP account to day from SBs.
Good luck everybody.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Hi December! What is everyone thinking for targets??? I have no idea if there will be as much opportunity for December surveys and mystery shops, so I'm going for £300 with the intention of making sure I use all the voucher and cashback opportunities I can muster!

Hey @CMD79 thanks for starting this thread! Everybody's done great last month especially you ♥
I feel exhausted after a busy month at work, busy month trying to make money, and - probably most challenging - a week of bad sleep. My youngest keeps calling me during the night anyway but these last few days he's been up more than usual.
So, after reaching my target last month and reaching my financial goal for the year - to end it with less than half debt I started it with - I am going to take it very slow this month. I have a mystery shop booked for tomorrow and a xmas fair to sew for, but other than that I intend to do pretty much nothing. I am off work starting the 19th until Jan so there's lots of duvet days and netflix in my future.
I will set myself a target of £5/day. I still have items listed on vinted, two mystery shops to pay (including the one Im doing tomorrow), and I will log into prolific once in a while. However, I won't be upset if I come under £155 for the month.
Good luck everyone, have a great month!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0
03.07.2023 - CC (0%) £9,859 / Loan £0 / Savings £10,1105 -

I must admit, I was going to go for £5 a day as well, but I deleted it and put £10 because I do need to try still - particularly as Christmas is always my problem!

Thanks for the new thread @CMD79 - it doesn't appear to be in the right place though - is showing under Debt free wannabe, rather than under the challenges.
