The day of the interview is here and to say I am nervous is an understatement! Its silly as it is just for a little £100 a month job at my local village hall and I know I can do it standing on my head but it's helping me calm my nerves. I think having worked out that over the 7 years this could give me £8400 towards paying off our mortgages has made it worse. That is a lot of cash I can contribute (especially with my business so slow at the moment). Fingers crossed when 10.15am comes I will have managed to get my nerves in check and I don't make a huge fool of myself!!! Time will tell I suppose ;)

Anyway here is my list for today (although I think after the interview is over I may just have to go and lay in a darkened room!):-

    1. Play on Mistplay - DONE 127 points earned today :)
    2. Add Mistplay voucher claimed yesterday to my Amazon account - DONE £5 added to OP savings pot :)
    3. Complete a Nectar survey or two - DONE completed one for 40 points and timed out of another so 2 points for that one :) Up to £12.23 in points now so mounting up :)
    4. Attend interview - DONE I tried my best, was honest and myself so I could not really do anymore. I know I have all the skills and more to do the job but the panel started with three people have got an interview so two of you will be disappointed so will you hold a grudge against us. Not a good start to boost your confidence!
    5. Complete order received on Etsy and post off (on way to return clothes to save petrol) - completed will post off when going past post office as now may not go to Asda until tomorrow :)
    6. Post in 3 FB groups promoting my business with a hope I will get some more orders as I really need some - posted in two just got to decide what to post in third ;)
    7. Comment on In search of posts on FB in the hope I get some orders as again really needed - DONE commented on 5 posts so fingers crossed what I will sell will be loved :)
    8. Check free postcode lottery in the hope I might have won - DONE not a winner :(
    9. No heating - DONE none so far and still warm so not going on at all today :)
    10. Find a small way to save electric - interview meant I could turn off my computer and printer for an hour :)
    11. Earn some points on swagbucks (hoping to reach daily target) - 3 points added from swagbucks code - better than nothing ;)
    12. Enter 3 competitions - DONE 4 Cosmopolitan comps entered :)
    13. Open High interest savings account or ISA
    14. List an item on FB Marketplace
    15. Look into selling on TikTok
    16. Complete a task on OhMyDosh
    17. Walk to Dr's to pick up OH prescriptions (he has an excemption due to medical condition so no money will change hands - DONE ;)
    18. Submit claims for two more orders not received (Royal Mail are crippling me at the moment) - DONE one submitted for £10.95 as realised there have been a couple of bank holidays so 10 day wait time has not passed yet :)
    19. Email back Royal Mail and continue fighting for International orders which took nearly 60 days to be delivered and I had to refund!!
    20. Return clothes not required back to Asda (£32.50 refund due)
    21. Small £10 shop from Asda to get another stamp in my cashpot (only need two more to add £5)
    22. Peel veg ready for shepherds pie tonight as its takeaway day in our village (a chip van comes into the village hall car park) so this will stop me being tempted - DONE :)
    23. Complete a survey on Shopper Thoughts - DONE 25 points earnt
    24. Scan small shop OH came home with - DONE (even though we didn't anything he bought!!!)

    Good luck with your interview!

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

    Thank you.
I think I did ok but am kicking myself as keep thinking of even better answers I could have given now. Hindsight is a wonderful thing hey! On paper I know I can do the job standing on my head and I am always helping out at village events so have already shown my passion for the venue but our village is a strange place and if you were not born there you often get overlooked which I think will happen here. I really had got my hopes up but now just want to be put out of misery so I can move on and find another way to get £100 per month

intrigued, what is Oh My Dosh?
It's similar to swagbucks I suppose is the easiest way to describe it. You make an account and complete surveys, games etc and can earn cashback to build your pot. Once it reaches £10 or more you can cash out.

I have a referral code where you can earn an extra £1 if you were interested just pop me a PM x

Good morning. The sun is shining and it's making me feel a bit more positive today :)
Still limping home with the small balance we have left in the bank account so hoping I won't have to transfer any cash back to get us through the rest of the month ;)

I have woken up with a swollen eye this morning though which is quite painful but the swelling does seem to be going down slowly so think I will hold off seeing the doctor as don't want to pay £10 for a prescription I may not even need ;)

Here's my (not so) little list for today:-

    1. Play on Mistplay - DONE 152 points earned today - If I can get 200 points a day for the next three days I can cash out another £5 voucher
    2. Complete a Nectar survey or two - DONE two surveys completed for 60 points and timed out of 1 so further 2 points should be added :) Currently on £12.50 worth of points :)
    3. Wait nervously to find out the results of the interview - DONE and I'm out of my misery now. I didn't get it and I knew deep down that I would not as my face has never fitted in this village and I have to be honest and say it hurts as I know I could have done the job standing on my head, with my eyes closed and my hands tied behind my back not to mention all the times I have helped with events taking place for them. Well I suppose now I know how appreciated I am it will give me more time to work on paying off our mortgages because I won't be helping again any time soon! Can you tell I'm annoyed ;)
    4. Wait in for man collecting undersink unit listed on FB Marketplace. Fingers crossed he turns up as this will add £30 to the OP savings pot - DONE £30 added to OP pot :)
    5. Complete 3 more orders received on Etsy and post off (I posted a pity post yesterday in a group and I think people felt sorry for me - hey I'll take that if it means orders for me :) ) - DONE :)
    6. Post in 3 FB groups promoting my business with a hope I will get some more orders as I really need some
    7. Comment on In search of posts on FB in the hope I get some orders as again really needed
    8. Check free postcode lottery in the hope I might have won - DONE not a winner again :(
    9. No heating - DONE no heating so far (4pm) and no plans to put it on tonight either :)
    10. Find a small way to save electric - DONE husband's charger unplugged :)
    11. Earn some points on swagbucks (hoping to reach daily target)
    12. Enter 3 competitions
    13. Open High interest savings account or ISA
    14. List an item on FB Marketplace
    15. Look into selling on TikTok
    16. Complete a task on OhMyDosh
    17. Submit claim for order not received (Royal Mail are crippling me at the moment) - Royal Mail website will not let me file the claim so I will try again tomorrow - really don't see why I should lose money due to their imcompentance!
    18. Email back Royal Mail and continue fighting for International orders which took nearly 60 days to be delivered and I had to refund!! - DONE a very strongly wording email was sent regarding them of the contract we entered into and my rights as a consumer. Let's see if that works!
    19. Return clothes not required back to Asda (£32.50 refund due)
    20. Small £10 shop from Asda to get another stamp in my cashpot (only need two more to add £5)
    21. Complete a survey on Shopper Thoughts

If the Doctor goes you a prescription you do not need to take it to the pharmacy to have it filled 😉
but as the swelling is going down you may not need to see the Doctor.

Thank you - I didn't think about not "cashing in" the prescription but getting one just in case.
The swelling appears to have almost gone and although painful it's nowhere near as bad as this morning so I didn't bother the doctor. I shall see what it is like in the morning and then make a decision I think :)
