Over half of the balance saved, congratulations That is an amazing achievement 🎉
Thank you - I am pretty chuffed with what we have achieved so far but also daunted by the amount of the other two mortgages still to clear!
What are your plans once you have paid off your mortgage and BTL1? Are you planning on rolling your current standard monthly payment between the other 2 BTLs?
I think the plan is to concentrate on one at a time in the order the fixed rates expire but I am going to play with some figures and see what will help us clear them in the quickest time.

Have to be honest - really have not thought that far ahead as did not expect to make the progress we have already ;)

    Good morning.

Today is a great day for the MF exploits as hubby gets paid and it should be a bumper payout . I'm hoping I can ringfence at least £3K to go into the OP savings and might even try and add a little bit more as this is technically two months worth of overtime. I will be checking like a mad woman until it is received ;)

I also had the easiest shift ever at the chip shop yesterday so feel like I am refreshed from two days off rather than one. I also have Sunday off this week so I will feel like I've been on holiday by the end of the week ;) My boss also bought me and the other lady I was working with flowers and a bottle of wine yesterday to say thank you for all our  hard work which was a lovely touch (even though I don't drink wine but our daughter does). I'm sure if it was actually by default that I got them as I'm sure he is trying to get into the other ladies knickers buy hey ho - I'll take it  :dizzy:

Sadly my happy bubble will no doubt be burst today though as I have a lunchtime and evening shift at the original chippy with the boss from hell! I am going to try and retain my serene state and just let it all wash over me ;) Wish me luck!!!!

So here's my little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - DONE 2 points earnt :)
    2. Cash in Mistplay reward
    3. Check wages have been paid for hubby and transfer - DONE £3500 transferred into OP savings account - I was going to do £3k but this left us with much more money than this month so went for £3500 and fingers crossed might be more left to transfer at end of Sept :)
    4. Post off business cards for Etsy order - DONE :)
    5. Print and post off stickers for FB order - DONE :)
    6. Print flyer and post off for Etsy order - printed and cut - DONE :)
    7. Complete survey and searches on Inbox Pounds
    8. Complete survey on Panelbase
    9. Complete survey on Prime Opinions
    10. Lunchtime chippy shift (2 hours) - DONE ended up being 2.5 hours :)
    11. Evening chippy shift (4 hours but lets face it, it always ends up being longer!!!) - DONE 3.75 hours (we actually finished early - miracles do happen) ;)

    Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.02

    Morning all.

Well the chippy yesterday was not half as bad as I expected. Things seem to be quieting down now in both of them as most of the tourists seem to have left. It's great from an exhaustion point of view but it also means that I know my hours will be cut soon so I'm just grateful for all the money I can make until then. I have to say I'm quite glad I have not quit the original chippy yet for the new chippy as I really don't see how there will be enough demand for me to do all the hours he wants (especially as he is getting another full time person in as well). At least this way I am hedging my bets and have the possibility of hours from each of them (albeit greatly reduced).

I bet my shift tonight will be one from hell though after all that! I shall have to wait and see ;)

Our son wants a haircut today which I'm always nervous about as he does not take it well if they cut too much off but never speaks up and tells them to stop whilst it is taking place. Wish me luck - I'm dreading it!!!

I've just booked a table for Sunday at a pub near my mum and dads as we are going to visit them after not seeing them for several months because life got so busy. It will be lovely to spend time with them as they are not getting any younger and we have not seen them for so long. I'm also looking forward to not having to think about what's for dinner that night!

Other than the haircut, the chippy shift this evening and making a nail planner for an Etsy order so I can post it off today, I don't really have any plans. I'll just spend the day with our son having a bit of quality time together. I feel a bit guilty as I've worked so much during the holidays that I have hardly seen him and he starts college on Monday ;(

So here's my very little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - DONE 109 points earned today :)
    2. Cash in Mistplay reward - DONE £10 voucher claimed so £10 transferred to OP savings pot :)
    3. Update spreadsheet with savings balances - DONE so proud that we managed to save £7K last month :)
    4. Make nail planner for Etsy order and post off - DONE :)
    5. Complete survey and searches on Inbox Pounds
    6. Complete survey on Panelbase
    7. Complete survey on Prime Opinions
    8. Spend time with son - DONE went to McD's and had a nice chat :)
    9. Evening chippy shift - DONE pretty quiet again so finished early 3.5 hours added to next weeks wages :)

    Good morning :)

We couldn't get the son a haircut yesterday but have managed to get an appointment with them today at 10.30am so it will be an early start for him. It is more than double the price of where we normally go but hey ho we shall give it a try and see what he thinks. He has also informed me that he needs some things for college so will need to pop into town with him after he has finished at the barbers to grab those.

I'm not at work until 4pm so hopefully we can fit everything in before I have to leave.

I've just got my rotas through for next week and I don't have a day off so I will enjoy my family day even more I hope. Fingers crossed next week is quite quiet at the chippies too so it does not leave me feeling exhausted.

Good news on the wages front though - instead of paying me £197.10 last night, the original chippy rounded it up to £200 so that's an extra £2.90 is not expecting and it feels so much more with the figure starting with a 2 rather than a 1 - silly I know but true in my mind ;) I'll get that paid into the bank today and transferred over to the OP savings pot so it can start earning a little bit of interest for me straightaway ;)

So here's my very little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - DONE 2 points earned :)
    2. Pay in chippy earnings for last week - DONE £200 added to the OP savings account :)
    3. Raise two claims with Royal Mail for lost items (they are getting useless!)
    4. Complete survey and searches on Inbox Pounds
    5. Complete survey on Panelbase
    6. Complete survey on Prime Opinions
    7. Spend time with son - DONE had a lovely morning in local village and town :)
    8. Evening chippy shift - DONE :)

    Good morning all.

Today I am going to have a whole day off about worrying about paying off the mortgages and instead enjoy every second of life. I'm off to visit my lovely mum and dad and we will eat, drink and be merry.

Hope you all have a great Sunday x

Whoops forgot to post yesterday but have to be honest apart from doing a 6 hour shift at the chippy and getting an order made and posted for Etsy, I didn't really do a lot  :D
We had a lovely time on Sunday with my mum and dad and the meal was gorgeous (we even managed to use blue light discount which got us around £15 off the bill so that made it taste even yummier!!

Today's another day though so I'm raring to go and get this MF journey back on track.

So here's my little list for today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - DONE 2 points earned :)

Good morning. It's already hot here on the Broads today so I think we are going to be in for a scorcher (cannot wait for my chip shop tonight!!!).

We got some good news yesterday - the mortgage company for our own home is waiving the £225 early redemption fee if we want to pay off the mortgage balance in full (£97.60) so we will take advantage of that and clear that off in the next couple of days :) I'm really happy I did not bite the bullet and pay it at Christmas when the balance was around £2k as £225 is a lot of money towards BTL 1 :)

In other news I'm not sure what to do with the chippy jobs. The new chippy wants me to quit the old chippy and come full time but in all honesty, customers are getting much fewer now tourist season is coming to an end and he has already cut some of the daytime shifts this week and is starting to send people home early (although he is still recruiting for more counter staff which seems a little strange - two more have started this week) so I sort of want to edge my bets and just do a few hours at each chippy when I can. I really don't want to go full time as it means I never get to spend time with hubby and kids but he does not appear to be listening which worries me. He also does not seem to understand commitments regarding children etc as he has none himself. Decisions Decisions.

Not got much planned today as hoping for a nice restful day spending time with daughter before she goes back to Uni next week so it's going to be another little list from me today:-
    1. Play on Mistplay - DONE 12 points earned :)
    2. Update spreadsheet with mortgage amounts for September - DONE pleasant surprise as first BTL mortgage is nearly under the £43K mark now thanks to OP (and with amount saved ready to repay when fixed rate ends we only need to find another £17K to pay in full :)
    3. Complete business accounts for August - DONE and I managed to turn a very small profit for the month so although not loads it is still a profit :)
    4. Pay for son's bus pass for college (although an initial outlay now of £350 it will save money eventually as without it we would pay £780 for fares)  - DONE had to pay for term £120 (so will be £360 in total) so still saving lots :)
    5. Make and post off Etsy order for little bag of love - made will post on way to work to save petrol :)
    6. Complete survey and searches on Inbox Pounds
    7. Complete survey on Panelbase
    8. Complete survey on Prime Opinions
    9. Spend time with daughter before she goes back to Uni - DONE :)
    10. Evening chippy shift (6 hours) - DONE :)
    Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.02
