Sorry Baileys - I promise I will look after myself this evening :)
Glad to see my nagging is paying off 😆

Sorry I haven't been around for about a month, real life getting in the way, I've just caught up and you are making huge progress.

It won't be long until you have paid for all 3 BTLs 😊

    I'm loving the memes.

Hi everyone, So sorry for lack of posts.
I have been working every hours sent it feels like at the moment but it has all paid off:-

I can finally declare that we have enough in our savings account to pay off our last mortgage. That means we have managed to earn/save/sell/ scrimp our way to paying off just over £212,000 in just under three years.

Honestly I am so proud of what we have done I could cry.

Thank you all so much for being my cheerleaders - you honestly don't know how much that helped me along the way.

Our next move is to save some money for our retirement so we can retire in the next few years and start really enjoying life so I don't think this diary will be going anywhere. I just need to find time to update it more often ;)

For now though I have got to go to work so I'll pop back later in the week and share my next target ;)

Well done cm, thats a great total.  Glad to hear you're keeping the diary up but definitely take a few weeks as a 'reward'  for all your hard work.

I know its simply not possible to have that amount set aside in a short time without high wages coming in, lots of people don't earn that much in 10 years, but that's not to take anything away from what you've achieved.   You've also done so much working many hours in not very well paid jobs, doing very long hours to keep funds coming in plus you've both kept focus on your target which is hard to keep going for 3 years.

I hope you can get a bit more balance back from now on, even though you are working towards retirement income   :)  as you were doing such long long days

    Meantime, celebrate what you've both achieved    👏 ✨ 🙌 😀 ❤ 👌

Thanks Daisy, I know we are very honoured that we have a high wage coming in thanks to my husband. He worked very hard and really struggled to be able to earn that money so I am super proud of him :) It is certainly being put to good use and everything we do is ultimately for our kids so hopefully we are showing them that hard work and a few sacrifices really does pay in the long term.

My plan is to give up one job after the end  of November so that will be a nice little way of me celebrating our achievement and hoping getting a little better work/life balance in the future :)

We enjoyed a lovely meal in a favourite local restaurant by way of a celebration which we also combined with my birthday meal so we were still very much keeping with our MSE ways ;)
