Hope you get some viewings soon. Can definitely understand the reluctance to move atm - scary times.January spends - £587.583

Absolutely milann - if we weren't in the relatively decent position we are financially I think I'd be leaning towards "stay put and wait" too - as it is, we just need to keep the faith and stay positive-ish I think!
Nothing much to report here - it's all small wins at the moment, really.
MSE'ish stuff:
- prepped and roasted all the remaining beetroot from the fridge last night. Annoyingly a couple had gone past it, MrEH had originally planned to pickle them but I think at some stage decided against it, after the point where they'd gone off my radar a bit. Anyway, we had some of the remainder last night, and the other half are in the freezer for another time. I also saw off a couple of carrots (salad with sultanas and a peanut butter and lemon juice dressing), the remaining mushrooms from this week's punnet, and discovered that as I suspected the two lurking avocados had indeed gone past it.
- Got turkey "bits" out for tonight - I think those are heading for a stir fry as that will use up half the small cabbage that remains, and probably the remaining carrots. I'll have to be imaginative about the rest of the veg in it though! (It's fine, there's mushrooms and peppers in the freezer!)
- Finally remembered to add my bank cards to the Airtime Rewards thing this morning so let's see where that leads us. I figure it all helps!
- Banking checked and all OK - need to decide how much fuel to stick in MrEH's car this evening though.
- Little flurry of Prolific stuff last night - nothing massively high value but it still boosted me to above £11 payable. Need to keep the focus there.
Non-MSE'ish stuff:
- 4 forms of activity again yesterday - two short bike rides, a walk at lunchtime and yoga last night. it was raining when we parked up this morning so I elected to walk rather than ride the foldy bike, I'll also walk at lunchtime and then I'm aiming for a run after work assuming the weather behaves.
- Almost caught up with the washing - until MrEH tells me that there is more rugby kit needing done mind! Did give the sheet and duvet cover that went through last night a 30 minute tumble dry at the end of the programme to help them on their way - they've gone outside to dry on the balcony.
Just checked in with OnePoll and appear to have a few surveys there - and I'll check out ipsos later too and see where that's at.

Everything seems to be ticking along nicely.
Hopefully you will get some viewings soon and an offer.
The market seems to have picked up a bit again locally here.3 -
Morning all - glad to hear thigs are picking up a bit round you RS, people keep reassuring me that the lighter evenings will make a difference so fingers crossed!
Anyway - I've done a pro-active thing! When we bought the flat, we found it by means of looking for areas we liked, and then popping flyers through the doors of the 6 ground floor flats in our block. Now - we know now that of the 6, at that time 3 were still council owned, and of the three others, we actually heard back from two of them and viewed both, ending up buying where we are now. Ina "turning things on their head" approach I've drawn up a little flyer to pop through the doors of all the other flats in our block and the two nearest, plus some of the local houses, letting people know that the flat is up for sale if they have friends or family wanting to move into the area. You never know, right? And if it worked on the way in, wouldn't it be hilarious if it worked on the way out, too?! Nothing to lose, and at least I feel like I'm doing something to drive it forwards!
On the more routinely MSE stuff, it's ticking along still.
- Onepoll is now at 1858 so up on the start of the week but still slow
- Prolific at £10.96 with £1.60 pending
- MrEH's car swallowed £66 worth of diesel last night - that will see us right through next week as well though so it will now be firmly into "next month" before we need to fuel up again.
- Joint account surplus is now in the realms of squeaky - but there isn't anything else to come out of it so should be fine.
- Interest is on on the M@rcus account where the EF lives - hurrah!
- fish defrosted in the fridge overnight for fish pie for tea this evening which I'm REALLY looking forward to!
More progress was made on using stuff up last night in the shape of what can only be described as a bottom-of-the-fridge stir fry. A single chicory head, half the remaining cabbage (wait for them to send me more in the veg box, now!) the last of the carrots and some additional veg from the freezer (sweetcorn, mushrooms) with the turkey and a sauce made using a splash of soy and the last of the jar of char suit sauce, plus noodles. Very tasty! The veg drawer is now looking wonderfully empty - which judging by all the shortages might be how it stays!
4 forms of activity again yesterday - 3 walks and a run. The run did feel like hard work again but most importantly my knees were fine so I'm definitely going to put the traumatic treadmill experience of the other week down to either the shoes I was wearing having now lost ALL their support (very possible/probable) and/or just the treadmill itself being the problem. So fingers crossed I can now get back to that again! Might try to shove in another one over the weekend - will see how that goes. Today will be two bike rides (I added a bit extra to my commute from the car this morning too) a walk at lunchtime and yoga tonight I think. I'm quite liking the "four things" approach to movement at the moment - it will get shoved to the back burner over the weekend but if I can keep it up for weekdays that will hopefully work pretty well.
Very much hoping that the predictions of energy prices over the next couple of cap changes might be accurate - although I still think the government should announce a freeze to the current EPG rate for April as that will really help so many struggling households - and will STILL cost less because of the way the prices are behaving than they originally assumed that the new £3000 level EPG would. I suspect from what is being said though that they're not going to. Still, we'll know more about where prices are headed on Monday I think it is, so maybe they will announce something after that. And if thigs stay as they are looking currently, we could then see a sharp drop in July, which would be most welcome I'm sure, although of course not really the best time of year for people to feel any benefit!
Right - that's enough wittering on from me - hope you all have a lovely remainder of your Thursday!

Always worth a try with the flyers. We sold our last house to someone on freecycle....they came to collect some stuff that I was getting rid of in order to clear the garage and start getting the house in order, he asked if I was having a clear out, I said yes, about to put the house on the market...he said him and his wife had been wanting to move to the village for years, had a look round, we got it valued, he agreed on price and we didn't have to get an estate agent involved!10

Defo worth trying the flyers. I think that's a good idea & like you, I think being proactive does help with the feeling that at least something is being done.

Thanks Foxgloves and L on the vote of confidence o the fliers too - it certainly can't hurt if it doesn't help, can it!
This afternoon's MSE small win goes to the £2.40 I have cashed out of TCB which has now landed safely in the New House Fund!
I've also done a bit of reading on Airtime Rewards this afternoon so I really understand a bit more about how it works - anything I can get off my bill can only be an advantage after all - I just need to have a bit of a re-jig about how I spend, I think. Think it might take me a while to get to the first £10 earnings threshold, but we'll see!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hey @EH......get cracking with those PAs......I've knocked mine up to over £41 as of this afternoon, although missed out on the best payer as it turned out to be full. Bah! Still a few days to go, though. I haven't put in as much effort as I intended, but anything I earn is pledged to our savings pots this month, so will be very useful. Must say that the other v few survey sites I do have been slower than a slow thing this month.
