It's 11/27 on the card, just tried 10/27 in case that worked but still telling me that it can't switch this account at this time. Also didn't like another recently opened coop bank donor account, not quite sure if there's any other reason it keeps failing...

Just manually inputted my address and removed my middle name to match the nationwide account and changed the debit card expiry date to 10/27 and it seems to have been one or all of those that was causing it to fail! It would be helpful if it told you what was wrong...

Is there any bank accounts that display card details immediately?

Wife signed up for a Starling account 10 days ago as a new burner account to do this offer... card still not arrived and now entering another 2 days of royal mail strikes so not hopeful its going to arrive before Monday

If there is a Metro Bank near you they will print you the card there and then and it only has a two year expiry date. Perfect for the Halifax switch.

Unfortunately wife's not overly mobile as just had our second child and the nearest Metro isn't too close. I seem to remember by Barclays let me view the card details reasonably early - might have to give it a try if it doesn't arrive Friday.

Natwest Group (inc. Ulster and RBS) will show you your debit card details for your new account as soon as the account is added to your profile (next working day) if you already have mobile banking and biometrics set up.

Final question... has anyone noticed any difference with payment speed etc for new customers compared to existing customers?

Starling card FINALLY turned up today to instigate switch.

My switch completed Tuesday (new customer) but no sign of bonus yet. Guide said within 3 days if I recall which would have been Friday, I wonder if it’s gonna arrive at all now??
