Yes! I am thinking of quarterly reviews! SWOT analysis.

I do know that I was my happiest at work when I was self-employed entirely for a year. But I was not as stimulated, and I could feel lonely, at times,

  • This sounds very wise - thinking what the job can do for you ;)

I am also looking at the best job to get me where I want , so obtain me a  mortgage etc as opposed to it being the one job that makes My heart sing ..

hope it all works out as you wish - at least having 3 months savings, you can focus on your decisions calmly as opposed to stress
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Hey LaPlan, Thank you for dropping by and for your words. It has taken about 10 months to make this shift in my relationship with work. The business has changed so much, and it's just not cozy anymore. But hey, let's take the money, I can do the job and still have highly valued colleagues. I mean, DrCarrie, what's the beef!

    Hi all,

I cannot believe it has been 10 months since I posted last.

Main update is that I am now self-empoyed, since the 1st of May. Its going ok, but 100% overcommitted in the past couple of months.

Website is on its way and I am on a startergy and bounday plan, which I hope will be initiated by the end of October.

Still working on the atatchemnt to some of the poeple I uses to work with, in the buisness I referred to in the above post.

    Pretty riculous!

I do have a bit of money in the Mortgage overpayment pot. I do have the pension to worry about now too, minimum amount goig to that at the meoment.

I have 1% of each incoming fee, for the mortgage overpayment and 2% for the pension, on top of the minimum payment agreed with my finacial advisor while I am still building the buisness up. I know it it not enough, but its not notthing.

Need to get on top of expenses.  And get content for the website.
