Only reason for maybe sticking with Samsung is ease of transferring data over.Cisco001 said:£11 per month for 3GB is too expensive!!!
Have a look with RWG mobile if you need to stick with EE network.
If you willing to go for contract and want to stick with Samsung. have a look with trade in cash back deal at mobilephonedirect.
S22/ S21 FE/ A53 whichever suit your budget.

Benefit of samsung probably be their relatively longer support on software or may be you get used to their UI.2 -
Yes, I’m used to their UI. It’s down to size, cost and length of support.Cisco001 said:

S series too pricey and older ones may not get Android 13.
A series too big really. Google Pixel 6a is the largest I’d go to. Same size as iPhone 11.

Yes, Samsung S21 refurb is within my budget at £358. I’m quite used to the premium feel of their S series phones.MikeJXE said:there are plenty of recent refurbished phones about that have a few years to go yet
I see that Music Magpie currently have a 10% saving offer on their refurb phones so considering a Samsung from there.

Yes. The S7 is the perfect size for my use but can’t find anything current of similar dimensions. Close to getting a refurbished Galaxy S21. Will just have to get used to the taller size if I go with that.flaneurs_lobster said:One thing you will find on pretty much any new phone (including the S9) is that they are significantly larger than your S7. This may be either a good or bad thing depending on your use.

Yes. Have looked into that.MikeJXE said:there are plenty of recent refurbished phones about that have a few years to go yet
Samsung S21 gets security updates to 2025 so another three years as it’s already two years old. A new Google Pixel 6a at the same price has security support to at least July 2027.

Hi danrv. I wouldn't bother getting a new battery. I have an S10e and because the battery was so poor I took the decision last year to change the battery. Cost was £80 and it was the same price everywhere I looked. Huge difference! However 8 months on and my battery isn’t good hence I am looking to change my phone but not sure what to. I also bought my phone outright and am on sim only with O2 - at just over £11 per month. I need to change I know. I did try to barter down my monthly sim price but O2 wouldn't budge.1

I did change the battery on my previous S4 mini. Nowadays it seems to be more difficult or not worth it.Lara said:Hi danrv. I wouldn't bother getting a new battery. Hope to stay with EE for the coverage but their phone purchase plans are too expensive. I’ll stick with the rolling monthly SIM plan with them for now and try and negotiate a slightly cheaper data deal.

Have opted for a refurbished Samsung S21 from Amazon. Hopefully will be ok.1
