Happy ‘Christmas Month’ (as named by DS who is bursting with excitement to get the first chocolate from his advent calendar.
Here are my turtle goals for the month of deck the halls…
Challenge: I will need to pace myself this month as there’s a lot packed into my calendar. I want the days in between to be a time to recharge for the next thing. But I’m also challenging myself to get the house in order for cousin from Australia staying with us from mid December for a week. And to read a fun book… might pluck a Roald Dahl from DS’s shelf!
Charity: I will continue to donate to charity and charity shops. Instead of giving Christmas cards to family and friends, I have for many years made a donation to charity instead and made a simple digital card I can share with them. It’ll be the same this year. I do give cards to neighbours though.
Chart: By coincidence I started doing this at the end of October. I set up a spreadsheet to track big and small wins with finances... including the accidental free chicken from Saneberries (best day ever)! I’ve found it really motivating to see how all the little things add up. Definitely going to continue with this.
I’ll aim to keep within budget for various festivities and reach that shiny golden 15 NSDs.
Wishing you all a great month whether it’s peaceful or party-packed! X
