  • I don’t have my number yet.

    I have sat and back tracked my contributions so far this year.
    3 x energy grant = £201
    2 x council tax holiday = £322
    3 x emergency fund interest = £0.90
    3 x holiday fund interest = £8.46
    2 x current account rewards = £12.71
    amazon refund = £8.02
    swagbucks = £5
    attapoll = £12.59
    starbucks reward = £4.55
    costa reward = £2.50
    McDonalds rewards = £4.95
    asda rewards = £10
    tesco clubcard used for RAC membership = £63.25

    running total 🟰 £655.98/2023

    I feel like I have made a good start but not sure I will make the £2023 as the front of the year has the bulk with 2 months council tax holiday and the government energy grant. I don’t count my side hustle or summer exam marking but I might look at my standard side hustle income and put any extra hustle towards the total

    Total Debt May 21 £20,490.44  DEBT FREE DATE 29/7/22

    Mortgage balance May 21 £177,096.19. Now £146,747.17
    Mortgage free date. At start of sole mortgage = July 2042

    2024 SAVINGS FOCUS - get rid of the car finance. Savings balance/outstanding balance = £11,857.56/£12,706.25
    2025 Savings Focus - 33.3/33.3/33.3 split; savings for house renovations (bathrooms/garden/kitchen; whichever collapses first), save for a family holiday (probably our last one!) and paydown/offset the mortgage

    #62 reporting in with £10 Swagbucks, and I've spent £48 of Amazon vouchers which I'd almost forgotten about. Also had a free trial for Class Pass worth £29 and another free gym pass for £4.50.

    Total now £673.38

    Updating some roadkill, Clubcard voucher spend and a coffee paid with stamps:

    Revised totals:
    Loyalty rewards for coffee £20.40
    Retail cashback £43.76
    Loyalty card reward £10.50
    Winnings £25
    Roadkill £0.12
    Total £99.78

    Reaching the £2,023 target is harder than it looks - to be on track for that I'd need to be at around £500 by now so I am way behind the pace.
  • #62 - £10 Swagbucks, 89p interest on a savings account, and also got some products from the Marie Claire testing panel worth £48.65 (had expected just sample sizes so this was a surprise!)

    Total now £732.92

    Why would council tax holidays and energy help be included?

    If you pay council tax over 10 months or 12, you pay the same. The only way it is a saving is if they waive a month.

    Energy help, everyone gets this. So isn’t this thread for “over and above” everything else.

    Sorry to be a potential party pooper
    I dont count any of these. I think I may have done with the very first £150 everyone got but not since then. I count switching energy company offers tho, intact I have just switched to Octopus and received £50 within about 2 weeks. Very impressed so far.
