    My gas rate staid the same but the electric rate went down by 0.37p per kWh that will save me 54p per month until the next rates are published.
    Someone please tell me what money is

    My Eon Next NextFlex single rate is showing as 32.77p today against 33.07p yesterday, £8.70 pa less for Mr Average.
    EDF gas down to 10.276p from 10.277p, a 12p pa saving.
    Every little helps

    ... interesting, well saved! ... whereas ours (Eastern region) is showing as 35.13p up 0.07p (SC 38.94p unchanged). As you may known I have E7 which has gone up about 2.5p  to about 34.5p (EPG single rate equivalent on standard day:night usage ratio).

    Of course it has.  Expensive supply region strikes again 🙄

    (We're Eastern too, in case that wasn't clear.)
  • Without wishing to spam lots of threads (I've mentioned this on a couple of others) the linked calculator might help you decide if you're better off switching to standard rate or staying on E7. It can compare your E7 tariff with your standard local tariff (before the slight Jan 1st tweaks - I haven't seen an updated list) and a 3rd standard tariff that you can enter manually.

    It's worth making a copy and working with that, so you can save your calculations and to avoid fighting over it with another user online!

  • I have just found that my E7 night rate is increasing from 21.7 to 27 which is a lot in my view.  Does anyone know if there is a site anywhere that will compare the different rates being charged by the different companies?  I'd like to know if i can find a better E7 rate anywhere.  Maybe compare the market or someone would be able to do that?

    I am not sure if there is an instant get all rates for your region but when you do

     @Officer_Dibble has created this for you to compare and make sure you should be on E7

    Has a handy list from @stephen1983_2 of all the rates for the South East. It would be quite a task getting them together for all regions, especially as E7 rates aren't well publicised.

    Like you Dealboy, mine is showing 35.13. However, I was only paying 33.39 (50.39 - 17) for Eastern - why the rise?

    Hi caveman ...
    I don't know but I suspect you have benefited from an E.ON Next anomaly Oct 1st - 31st Dec 2022 like me, which has now gone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you were on a single rate fixed tariff just below the OFGEM Oct 2022 price cap compared to a Next Flex customer who was on 35.06p during that period, now both the same.

    Reasons for a small increase in Next Flex ...

  • My mother is on an Economy 10 tariff with Scottish Power in the Mersey (formally Manweb) area of the country. Before the 1st of January her unit rates were as follows:
    • off-peak -> 30.113p
    • all-day -> 37.001p
    As of the 1st of January her new rates are:
    • off-peak -> 38.69p
    • all-day -> 40.17p
    That's a 28.5% increase for off-peak power, which she uses mostly. If I manage to find a cheaper deal for her, I'll post it here. As a lot of other forum members have said, Economy 7 and Economy 10 rates are poorly advertised.

    I wondered if those rates include EPG discount
