Mountview Parking Charge - Edmonton Green South Car Park

Hi there,
I've just received a parking charge letter from Highview Parking. They say I do not have evidence that a sufficient parking payment was made for my vehicle to cover the full duration of the visit. The visit lasted just over an hour. The letter is to me as the registered keeper.
I go nearly every week to ASDA in Edmonton Green on Saturday mornings due to my kids having swimming lessons at the leisure centre which is right by the Edmonton Green Shopping area, so I park at the Edmonton green car park, then take advantage of the deal that ASDA customers who shop for more than £10s can park for free for 2 hours and do my weekly grocery shop. You have to enter your car registration details on their ipad/tablet within ASDA which validates the car for the deal. We have been doing this for many years, so I'm very shocked to receive the letter. I know we never forget to do the validation as the kids fight over who gets to type in the info and you have to walk past the validation device to leave the store.
On this occasion it was my husband driving.
As it sounds like the parking company could be rather ruthless, is it worth me appealing with the above explanation, attaching a copy of my husband's credit card statement (with important personal info redacted) showing as proof that I had shopped at ASDA on that date and it was over £10. I don't have the receipt anymore as it was a few weeks ago.
Or should I just use the suggested letter template?
Many thanks in advance for any suitable suggestions.

Plan A is always to complain to the landowner and in this case also the store manager and CEO, and your MP. Include a copy of the redacted card statement with the complaints to ASDA.
If that fails, Plan B is to appeal using the template in blue text from the NEWBIES sticky Announcement. Highview NTKs are often non-PoFA compliant. If that is the case, then add a one liner to that effect and that the keeper cannot be held liable.
Ensure that the driver's identity is not given in complaints or appeals.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks1 -
Go to Asda. Take receipts for the day and any previous ones to show you are a regular customer, see the manager (not Customer Service) and get him to cancel this.My one concern is if it is Asda who have contracted Highview, as their preferred supplier is usually ParkingEye. But go see the manager first. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks Umkomaas, I think Highview serves the who shopping centre rather than specifically ASDA. Does that make a difference to your suggestion?0

Asda may have some influence given their involvement in the 'spend over £10 and get 2 hours free parking' arrangement, so definitely go try them, taking every bit of evidence you have to prove how good a customer you are and what they risk losing if they won't help you.
If they can't help you, then you're probably looking for a managing agent (MA) who manages the car park (including contracting with a PPC), to ask them to intervene. If there is a totem at the entrance to the site, showing the names of the retailers there, often the name of the MA will be on that (usually at the bottom). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. EASY WIN.
Or why not copy the research this new poster did and send an even better (100% winning, as long as you do not tick 'driver') appeal?

This one always beats highview etcthis is an appeal by the registered keeper - No driver details will be given. Please do NOT try the usual Group Nexus Trick of asking for keeper details in order to get around the fact your NTK does not comply with POFA. As there is no keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and thus is an auto win @ POPLA. Please therefore cancel the notice or issue a POPLA code where you will auto withdraw2
