    Happy New Year.
I really like your goals list - I hope you've book marked it so you can track your journey this year.

good to read that DS has got a new job and place to live.  No matter how grown up they are it's always a relief to know that things are going well for our children.

  • Can you make the equivalent of the house for your other goals? Stuff a body shaped teddy with your weight equivalent in beads or beans or something you can count and remove. Then every pound or inch lost one gets removed?
  • Happy New year SH, I hope its a very prosperous one for you.

I went back to simple calorie counting a couple of years ago and lost 2 stone - I am a similar age to you and at 5' 2" was provided with 1700 calories if I achieved 10000 per day, people who are taller or who have more to lose get more. I also did light weights at home when doing my steps, and was required to drink plenty and have a good fibre and protein component. I often enjoyed a protein shake to boost it in the evenings.  It was a revelation after all the years at SW. I do need to get back on it though as I too have re gained around 10lb. As you like keeping log of numbers I thought it might work for you.

    Thanks WD, MFD and Jwil

I have a lot of weight to lose - so have bought a pack of racing dominoes. Will see if a visual model helps.

I've just found the cable for my fitness watch so put it on charge. That may then help motivate me to go for a walk.

Can't believe it's back to work tomorrow already! My home office is a tip - but I'll leave that until tonight. Need to do some washing. Not made much progress removing decorations. So much to do. Good to have had a proper rest though.
