Orange is now EE, but not sure if they'll want to know.

My Mum has the same and EE just deal with her tops etc. She uses it occasionally and hasn't got a clue that her network has changed.
Do you have an issue with using your phone?0 -
You only need to unlock if you are changing network provider and Orange should do that for you. The other choice is to buy a cheap unlocked phone for any provider0

Tried the link and when it askes for the ime number i put it in and then get messagemolerat said:Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).
Don't understand message can't do anything because all i get is a white screen in my browser and that message in the middle of the screen, don't understand about the browser console where is that?
Tried 3 different browsers and get the same in each one.
Can't use the phone because i don't have a Orange sim and no other sim will work not even a EE sim it just wants an unlock code.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.

Tried that its a con...Filled in the form then to get code you have to take out a deal to get it trouble is you will properly take one out and not get the code.
Thanks for trying for me.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.

Unfortunately you appear to be well out of your depth, seeing various things on your screen that others do not, unable to resolve these problems and therefore unable to proceed.
Not a con, completely free unlock codes are easily available and have been for many years!

Just to be clear, did you follow the instructions to get the imei number or get it from somewhere else.
https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/exp/myee-web/device-unlock
If you have entered the imei number accurately it maybe that they don't have a full list of pre-merger locks (ee was formed by merger of orange and t mobile).
I understand they have a responsibility to unlock any device originally locked to their network, so even if they can't there may be some goodwill due to you, so give them a call or email.
AFAIK a phone locked to orange should accept an ee sim, and may work with 1pmobile or rwg.0
