Lovely progress and so quick too. You can do this. I got out from under £70K of debt after numerous previous debt cycles - and I am doing so much better now. It can be done.

Morning everyone, hope you're all having great weekends! I'm pleased to report I had a great time last night and came home with £10 still in my purse, so I will put that in my overpayment pot. I have another budgeted night out planned next week, so I'm hoping to be able to do the same then too and have some money left when I get home! Other than the pre budgeted night out last night I've not spent anything else so thats 2 NSDs in the bag as well. I need to pop to the shops today for some milk and bread and bits like that though, but my NSDs dont include grocery items. I also realised I'd budgeted next weeks xmas food shop out of this months wages but I actually will have been paid before then so I'm going to be able to put a nice chunk aside for my overpayment pot! All in all its been a great weekend! MPS.x

Edit: I also forgot to say my goal for January is to get CC4 below £16k 💪

  • Morning and happy Monday! Aiming for a NSD today, we don't need anything, so it should be easy. Need to wrap the last of the presents today so it's all done, do some housework and finalise my Xmas shopping delivery, will try and get a few quick surveys in as well as a final boost to my overpayment pot. • Well done on topping up the over payment pot. Lots of us get paid early in December but that can cause issues for people in January if they draw on it quickly. I always tend to move it into another account until my normal pay date. There is a thread on here somewhere by @EssexHebridean explaining why.

I'm lucky as my company pay us on 25th month so my December pay is always pretty much when it would be anyway which makes life so much easier in January

@EssexHebridean thank you, I'll go check it out!

My usual pay date is 25th, or if that falls on a weekend then 23rd or 24th, so this year we are paid on 23rd Dec the January's pay date falls on 25th so it's just like a normal pay cycle for me. But I totally remember getting caught out by this in previous jobs where pay day was the last day of the month!!

Morning all, so yesterday wasn't technically a NSD as I got a few bits for Xmas, they were cheaper elsewhere than my food delivery so I've taken those items off there so thats now coming in cheaper. But I did buy some wine glass charms, which wasn't an essential buy, so I can't say it was all groceries. Still, they were only £1.99 so I didn't break the bank at least! I'm hoping today will be a NSD though. Its 3 days until payday and I still have £166 in my bank account! That is unheard off for me in December, I'd usually be well into my overdraft by now and a load stuck on CCs! So I'm pleased with this months efforts. Roll on January when I can get another chunk of debt paid off!! B) MPS.x

You're doing really well and brilliant that you've still got money in the bank and nothing added to the CC - that's a real achievement.  Well done.
