Thanks all! And happy Monday, at least I think it's Monday!!! Not much to report today, I didnt manage any surveys yesterday so I'll try and get a couple in today if I can, but I also need to do all the washing that I've neglected over the last 2 weeks! Especially my sons school uniform and PE kit, I fear I'm going to have to use the tumble dryer a bit to play catch up! Hoping for a NSD today though! That's about all for now. MPS B) x

Morning everyone, first day back at work for me!  I work from home and the house is soooooooooo quiet!  I have what looks like a million emails to get through, now I remember why I don't usually take time off between Christmas and New Year!  So today will mainly be going though all the emails, checking my financial spreadsheet is all up to date, I need to send £150 to CC4 from the £200 switch bonus, I've kept back £50 to go towards my husbands birthday present, I really wanted to get him a Nintendo Switch but I was £50 short on my budget, so I've now been able to do that, all paid for with real money!!!  I still have £214 in my spending account, and have nothing that I need so I am hoping, apart from my £1 a day savings, this shouldn't go down too much over the next couple of weeks.  I had a Next voucher but there just wasn't anything I wanted so I got the kids new socks, I mean it's something they need as they've both just gone into the next size bracket so I figured that was a worthwhile purchase.  Other than that I'm looking forward to a much less boozy January! Morning all, and happy Wednesday, I actually though it was Tuesday today until just now! Not much to report today, had to do a bit of grocery shopping which came to £19.03 but that should see us through until next weeks delivery now, who am I kidding, I will definitely be back in the supermarket before then!!!!

I feel a little less overwhelmed by the 400+ emails in my inbox today, yesterday my brain just wouldn't function so I stared into space a lot, but today I feel very productive!  I've not had any alcohol since NYE and am hoping to drastically cut down my intake this year, it had gotten out of hand last year, I think the stress of my debt (which at the time my husband didn't know about) really played havoc with me mentally. But anyway, I am not one for looking backwards, so it's onwards and upwards from now on! Except for my debt, that is definitely going downwards!! As of today, and in less than 2 months, I have cleared down £2638.81, and it feels good!!!!

  • I'm certain that Christmas jiggles the days around... I always lose track at this time of year!

I also want to cut down on drinking this year, I agree that debt and mental health can lead to probably a few glasses too many. It's pointless me starting now though, 3 days before a holiday but when I am back on 16th I intend to make some big changes.

  • @LittleMissDetermined  I totally agree! I still can't believe it's the 4th January already! I know it's only 4 days into the new year but they have flown by!!!

Oh gosh no, cutting down now would be a foolish thing to do!!  Have a few drinks for me on your holiday too! I hope you have a fantastic time!!x
