Mine was down from 830 last night until 2 mins ago. I'm fuming, the announcement didn't go on their phone status thing until 10 mins ago and they are refusing to answer their premium rate helpline which i have been phoning for 3 hours!! This is after completely reinstalling my router and spending 3 hours last night going through every problem possible. I understand providers have problems but not answering calls and being overly slow with announcements is unacceptable.

I had problems yesterday with my virgin broadband connection too. Fortunately it only lasted a matter of minutes but this link should explain what happened.

mine is still not working over 24 hours later, and I too tried to ring their status line, nothing to report, so rang the 25p a min + 10p connection charge line... no reply

Total load of tosh... got free tv service and install off them the other day cos I was going to leave, well they can stick their TV service up their .......

going back to my video senders where at least I can watch sky which is far superior.... have been with what was yorkshire cable then telewest for nearly 7 years and never had the problems I have now since Virgin has taken over

Richard B take note we will all leave...... apparently I have 10mb service.. i don't think so and to be totally frank, I would rather have true 4mb and reliable...... no matter how cheap you make it a service that doesn't provide a reliable service and a premium rate number with an indian call center working off a flow chart is not good customer service!!!!

  • We experienced loss of service last night - was still out at about 2pm.

Was up and running ayt about 4pm.

No way I am ringing up a premium line anymore to be told why its not working!

What was wrong with the Freephone 151 number that told you of service problems?

yeah i was going to speek to virgin lat night as well but couldnt remember the number(the closed the phone line anyway) but went into my modem 192.168.100.1 and looked at the logs, it showed a maintenance. its a handy address to know as it proved that A your pc is ok and B lets you see if there is an issue with the lease.

now if only someone would explain to their tech support about it grr.
