  • I still can't get my head round 'his mother in law has started divorce proceedings against me'. Surely he's the one to do so not her.

Women are allowed to initiate divorce proceedings these days you know  ;)

As I understand it OP is being divorced by Mrs OP (the MIL).  Mrs OP has an adult child (son or daughter) who is married to a man (SIL) who works at the opticians.
  • I suspect there is more to this matter.
There may or may not be but posters can only go by what the OP has posted.

Personally, I'd be hurt like the OP but to save further distress I'd just go to another place. Good luck OP
  • At times and many times I've noted that wneh people email/text they often come across not as intended and ruder/aggressive than they otherwise mean. Again, OP please just find another branch/etc.

    I think:

"You`re not welcome in the store. I`ve asked that you been turned away and cwmbran security have been informed. If you have a problem with your eyes, please go to a different opticians."

says exactly what the text sender meant.

    No idea.
The OP may be able to answer. It was taken directly from his first post.

I think that text was carefully thought out and probably edited a few times before being sent.

Armed guards from what I heard.... Dogs the lot. I remember going there when I was very young - it used to be a 'day out'...

There are plenty of opticians in the area though, and there's a Specsavers in both Pontypool and Newport which are just a stones throw away.
