I didn't say that?Derd said:Just checking if I have to take any action here, do I need to reply to the LBC letter?
The NEWBIE thread says send a robust reply but @Coupon-mad says, do not reply.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Alright, @Coupon-mad, apologies for misreading the language.
As mentioned in the previous post, I couldn't see any clear method of sending a Robust letter response. There was mention of creating a login on Gladstone's to send in a dispute using that form(in accordance with PAP). So I had downloaded the form to get information.
Now, I would like to know if there is any action to be taken from my end on the LBC.0 -
Yes, as the NEWBIES thread already says.
I even give some basic search words there. Obviously you can add the word Gladstones to the mix but I am sure you've thought of that. I don't have to spell out everyone's individual forum search keywords, I hope?
We want people to do the forum search themselves and get confident about using the huge resource in this board.
It is obvious what to search for and do, because the NEWBIES thread tells everyone. I'm already surprised at having to provide keywords there at all but I did, eventually, due to posters asking the same thing every day, instead of just searching the forum for 3 or 4 words.PRIVATE 'PCN'? I tried looking up for templates using the guidance but was unsure about many formats, so used bits and inserted parts of my initial appeal to CPM.
Apologies if I've got it all wrong, here is the reponse I have drafted.
Sir/Madam,Re meritless PCN (Does this need to be the PCN or the LBC ref ?)The above parking charge is disputed. I deny that the vehicle was 'not registered or exceeded allowed time' as the driver in question was successful in making two full payments and was blocked from further top-up by a non-functional system.Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation of overstay with evidence. Your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle. As mentioned before, the driver did manage to make 2 payments for the parking and was only too willing to do a further top up but was thwarted from being able to do so because of a broken payment system. The driver holds the receipts of the payments made and a screenshot of the error response repeatedly when trying to make a further top-up.Please stop sending debt demands and stretching the matter out for months and cancel this meritless charge immediately.yours faithfully,0 -
I think that's not bad but divulges too much information and asks for too much evidence!
I'd let the court claim arrive, then defend as per the Template Defence thread. You do not want all the evidence sent to you pre-claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Alright, so as off now I do not need to send a reply.
I'd need to reply after the court claim comes. I hope that never happens!!1
