Really? do you think D should not accept a reduced amount and risk it going to a hearing?
D was going to push for an extremely reduced amount rather than rejecting outright?

Honestly? Has the D not read this thread?:

DCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS

Does the D really want to be responsible for funding these scammers? They are serial litigators whose business model relies on Victims who poop their pants at the merest hint of a court claim and pay up. That or victims who manage to screw up the process and either have no idea how to robustly defend or just bury their heads in the sand. The vast majority of their claims are won by default and so they even manage to get the illegal added costs that would ordinarily be thrown out by a judge.

You already know that 99% of victims who follow the advice given here and produce a robust defence either win their claim or it is discontinued before it ever gets in front of a judge. 1% don't, typically because the victim hasn't followed the advice or just gave up and paid in order to give themselves an easy life.

You are either a 1 percenter or a 99 percenter.

No D hadn't seen this thread before, and its proven to be very helpful. D has since had another phone call offering to settle without prejudice, so far the bill has gone from £259, to £150 to £60 to £40 and now to £20.......so D now really knows DCB are scammers/chancers. Just awaiting their email offer to include in WS pack....
