But Mumzy - you got a nice, shiny, brand new kettle that could last for years for the cost of 20 cigs. :jI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Mumzy, I think your sig is great and I hope it will help you keep motivated:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Jay, I'm afraid that as long as you have access to TV reception (even on a computer) then you need a license. The only way around it is to disconnect all reception/aerials and watch video/DVDs only.
My computer doesn't have tv reception, I just download free things. As I understand it you don't have to have a license to watch, say, the BBC IPlayer, as it is not live. Of course this may change as more people use it.0 -
I think ive done my cig wrong with my sums...
I have 10 cigs and they cost me £2.30 i divided 2.30 by 3 and got 76p? but while testing it just now as it didnt look right i did 2.30 divided by 9 (say i smoke 9 cigs) and got 25p?
I think i have cracked it... 2.30 divided by 10 = 23p a cig.. so smoked 3 so far so thats 0.69pSealed Pot dec 08 - dec 09 so far £27.67, Live off £4k Spent £330.20 GC £1,200 for 2009 Spent £50.78 PaD so far £650.07Debts: L/woods £154.00 C/One PAID O/D £649.90 Next £299.95 O/D PAID Gas £72.60 Electric £155.73 Mum £640.00 Orange £490.320 -

Just hold off on switching until you've requested the cheque. They should send it to you if you change supplier but most companies seem to be a bit more proactive if you're a current, and not ex, customer.
Thanks, Nevada girl. You're right, they hate reducing the monthly payment - they owed me nearly £200 before I got my monthly payment reduced by a measly £7, and even then I got no reply to any of my emails. If anybody from ScottishPower should happen to have dropped in on this thread, it's one of the reasons I'm leaving you....byeeeeeeeee...!'Whatever you dream you can do, begin it. They were blowing eggs on Larkrise to Candleford (available on the BBC IPlayer) don't know whether you can get any tips from that - just looked yukky to me!
I just LOVE the idea of frugalites all over the UK eagerly consulting footage of 'Lark Rise to Candleford' to research the ancient art of egg-blowing! :rotfl:
Janey, sorry to hear about the ankle, hope your DH is up and running soon.'Whatever you dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin now.' Goethe
