My cousin, when she was training waxwd practically every hair on my body every few weeks,,,,,and I was addicted.
Think its the pain that gets the endorphins goin,,,,but I always feel really clean afterwards, she has her own salon now and charges full price, no sentiment in business , and quite right too, so I just stick to paying for the visible bits.....:rotfl:cheerio hen0 -

Thanks very much for the advice Ellidee, I will certainly do that. I'm hoping that they'll let me shift some of my OD from one of the other accounts onto this new one, so they're all covered.
Hope I didn't come across as patronising or 'know all' -just that I used to work for a bank and my dh still does.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -

Had a good day I guess, £6 in cabs (heavy rain again), £24 to electric and paid off some tv license.
I rang up a council debt advisory centre today and I'm going in to see then next thursday to sort myself out. This thread has made me realised how badly I need to get back in control of my debts,
And to make it worse British Gas have just upped the electric which is equivalent to one day's electric for mePayment a day challenge: £236.69
Jan Shopping Challenge: £202.09/£250

Thought I'd pop in to say a big hi to you all. My hasn't the thread grown over the past few days.
Have to say that 2 wonderful things have happened - it is the middle of the month and I HAVE MONEY LEFT IN THE BANK!!! and I have'nt used my credit card since Christmas. This is despite my weekly budgeting going somewhat adrift. I will be over again this week as I took grumpy son to dentist (he is still seen free of charge) and he has 5(!) deep holes in his teeth which need filling. After some probing by the dentist it appears that it is drinking coke that has caused this problem. (Should carry a health warning). Anyway I had to buy some special toothp[aste and a new brush costing a whacking £21.00.
Next week will be extremely frugal - I shall be traweling through your recipes for some ideas. On the diet front I have now started walking the 3.8 miles home from work twice a week, it is taking me an hour but I hope to get a bit quicker once I get a bit fitter. (Bit embaraasing when little old ladies overtake you!) I have now lost a stone and am beginning to feel healthier.
My first prize of 2008 arrived today - a 'Legends' CD which I have kept.
Hugs and kisses to all of you having a bit of a tough time xxxx0 -
Its all quite in the affordmylife household at the moment. No major developments here - luckily.
Loving all the ideas and tips on here am using loads of them already.
Have just opened a new bank account for my christmas savings so will sort out dd from main account as soon as i manage to get a day off work when the banks are also open!
Am working full time at the moment which is brilliant for money but bad for time available to do stuff.
Still all weekend off now to catch up and menu plan etc for next week.
Have a lovely weekend all of you and keep up the good work.0 -
Well I haven't posted on here for a while so time to 'fess up
I'm doing up my tiny caravan this week while on holiday (well, starting it) and am trying to fit it in my £4k budget. It requires a full refurb, and I've almost finished insulating it. That involved ripping out the original lining material (ewwww dead flies behind it and goopy glue) and wirebrushing off the old glue. Next task is to renew the outside lighting and refit the internal cupboards while I figure out how to finish the interior. So far pink fur fabric for the roof and lightweight carpet for the walls seems a good choice, with darker carpet for the floor. Will be putting in a cupboard for the portaloo too.
Spent £93.33 on bits for the caravan. And £21.58 so far in fuel running around. Will be visiting the local car boot on Sunday if it's not raining to see if I can pick up some bits for it.
Only spent £7.47 on food all week though. :A Can't believe I got out of Waitrose (yeah, I live a decadent life) without going into at least double figures on the spend-o-meter!
Updating my sig now... and will upload pictures of the caravan if anyone's interested!
Have a great week,
Eph xxIf you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.
