Ooh Hopeless (got to stop calling you that, sorry!), I meant to say, what about selling some of your cakes if you don't already, as they're obviously popular? When I was trying to raise 54K for an expedition with my (school)kids, my mum (who is an absolute star!) used to make a batch of cakes every week which we then sold at breaktimes; it was our best fundraiser by far!! Just a thought.
Thanks for that website Nyk, have added it to my list of ones to check out. I love that smilie, makes me laugh every time I see it! Right, off to the cinema (no Orange Wed as I have lost my phone, doh!) so will spend a bit unfortunately. See ya all on the other side. (ps thanks for the info about watching Martin later as I'm interested in the chickens too... of course). BTW, there are some ex-battery hens at our RSPCA centre, I'm assuming they don't lay any more, is that right? I'd take em anyway if we had the room

So I've been doing some spending
£40 for pair of trainers & ankle boots on Littlewoods so I haven't paid for these yet
£60 for Chess in concert in May at Royal Albert Hall - I do hope I like Chess lol On my mums card so haven't paid for it.
£90 for 2 Dancing On Ice Tour tickets in Nottingham - mum has paid for these
I've kind of lost where I was with my spending diary so on the last day of Jan I'll just work it out by counting what's come out of my acount minus what I have in cash.0 -
Right then you lot I am holding you completely responsible...I now have a name for my affliction...it's called challenge by proxy syndrome [ie hooked to a challenge even though not partaking in it:D ] I am totally cream crackered today because I thought it would be a fabby idea to sit up in bed with my OH until midnight and discuss the totally thrilling results of his electrical experiments. Yes he's now been round all our applicances with his oh-ometer...it's a black box that measures the current of things which he walks around with and mutters "oh!" at regular intervals [erm I think...you are asking a complete technical Luddite here] and I got myself totally overthrilled at the prospect of saving £9 alone by totally unplugging the pc. It's been all this talk of meter readings it's thrown me into a complete flat spin:rotfl: :rotfl: [reminder to myself...one day when I manage to peel myself away from these boards I must get a life:D ]
Keep up the good work everyone...still seeing great progress and determination from everyone.

Apparently it's called a current meter and OH tells me you can get it from DIY places and such like.

I did mine manually, turned everything off then turned it on one at a time, the culprits were the tumble dryer and immersion heater.
My computer uses hardly anything - which is good as I can't drag myself away from this forum for more then 5 minutes,
Is there a thread around here for MSE addiction?:eek:Payment a day challenge: £236.69
