Oh bum :o Fell at the first fence :o
    My NSD wasn't.
Thought I had some bacon in the freezer for DH's (Atkins) tea but, having spent many minutes delving in the depths while my brain was calculating how much electric I was wasting because the lid was open, I gave in.
Marched into the Co-op and did not look right or left until I reached the bacon counter. Managed to get 2 packets (250gm each) for £3. Had a slight hiccup at the checkout where the "reduced" trolley is but I was strong and I left clutching my bacon.
Got home to find my second hand Kenwood Chef bought off Ebay had arrived :T I researched which one to buy on MSE and settled on an old 901 which I won for £67.45 delivered. I need to empty my freezer to make room for more food made from my storecupboards. Shame I can only eat tiny bits and OH is on a diet but it will come into its own!
I had bought this before starting the challenge and hopefully it will be a good investment.

    *hangs head in shame*

i went to the boots sale.....infact not only did i go to the boots sale but i did a tour of the northeast boots starting at sunderland, then durham then newcastle - bagged enough bargains to cover all the birthdays, fathers day, mothers day, and most of christmas (apart from the boys main pressies) so i guess in the long run i have saved a load!! I have to admit i didnt even think of MSE all day - was too busy giggling with my sister, grappling with the shelves and sweet talking dh into moving on to the next town! :rotfl:

Dont know whether to set up a seperate pressie fun outside of the 4k as i have 4 children and a large non immediate family so it would prob take up most of my budget anyway!! :rotfl:

Please can you tell me what the snowball calculator is?

I searched MSE for some more info and found this link (snowball calculator). It's basically a calculator that works out how fast you can pay off all your debts using the amount of cash you have available to pay them - I think it may also prioritise them depending on how much interest you are being charged so the worst ones get targeted first

Looks like you can use the calculator anytime, so if you get some extra cash it should show you which debt to pay off first. Good luck and let us know how you are managing with your challenge :)

Big hug to Mumzy, sorry about the pregnancy test, let us know what the doc says.

Hmm, so I went to Sains and got the things we needed and some things that were still on offer, so I spent £8.94! But, it will work out cheaper in the end, got to remember that. I did get a doughnut for myself but I'd just had a particularly hard (and great) counselling session so at 10p I think I'm worth it! :D

I asked at the bakery about free fresh yeast too - it's no longer free but it was 16p for 50g or 99p for 1 kilo - is that good as I haven't bought it before?

    Nyk
, I would seriously have exactly the same things in my Wishing Book!! (which I love by the way) Spooky! Have you stolen my identity while I wasn't looking?:D You're not a teacher on the sly are you? :rotfl:
Who was it who wants to pay for this challenge out of their Ebay sales? If you came round my house you could make your money definitely! I'm having a MAJOR clear out this year, I can't wait to get rid of all this 'stuff'!
Have a great evening all. Feeling a little bleugh here so off to try and sort that out.

Jacks and NYD - I've been checking my Gas and Lecky....the gas varied between 1 and 4 units a day and the lecky between 10 and 30. I've really tried to make sure that the pc is off as I used to leave it on all day and I unplug the laptop once it has charged. Also trying to use all the over when cooking!

Mumzy I hope you are OK honey.

Spends for me today....£1 on chocolate....I'm beginning to realise that I spend most of my money on this!!
£35 petrol I didn't need it but I was going past the cheapest petrol station in the area so figured it was best to fiill up while I was in the area rather than make a special trip.

My mum asked me earlier when I was getting my Tesco delivery as the food cupboards are bare!!! Think she thinks I'm skint as I've not done much shopping for two weeks
Have a good evening all...hope the rain and wind stops soon XX

I think Mumzy said early on in this thread (or was it the sealed pot challenge?) that she could almost make enough from eBay to cover it... wouldn't that be great!! I have been thinking hard about this for a few years now, and if I could survive on 4k for long enough to have no debts and buy a house outright (no rent, no mortgage) then all the extra I would need to live would be Council Tax money :T That's my long term plan :D
