I'm tired now. Been back at work this weekend. Remembered my packed lunch (which OH made for me both days-what a sweetheart). OH continued the declutter yesterday while I was out. Lovely to come home to.

Didn't spend any money at all :) OH just bought a Sunday paper (£2). He even forwent his Sat paper in the interests of the challenge. He also dod the meter readings. I'm just awaiting Martin's book to arrive so OH can be fully trained!

Last day of school hols tomorrow for DS. Should be a NSD.

I've had a NSD today, just as well after the expenses of the last few days!!

Yes, Martin's programme is channel 5, wednesdays, 7.30. Our particular edition is not until February half term. The children had a whale of a time filming it, and are dead excited about going to the studio to meet the great man himself!!

hoping for a low spend week ahead - I have done a meal plan based on the contents of the cupboards and the freezer - will need some veg and bread/milk but hoping to keep it to a minimum.

I spent another £7 today (need to update sig) on products to egt whites white and to get the colour that has run into clothes out..and some ace. and some dishclothes. so i have £14 left i will withdraw £16 tomorrow and then pay £14 towards a debt. But i really do need to get some fridge stuff intomo so might go over but if i do i will try not to spend week after to make up for my losses. im writing ever item i spend in my big a4 diary. is that what everyone else is doing?

I updated my sig earlier but on reading everyone elses I seem to be the only one with huge payout so far :o

Am I doing the right thing here? I have already taken off my direct debits for life/house/car ins, sky/tv license, mobile, phone etc I have also included my £70 catalogue payment too......is this right?? Does anyone else pay these or is it just that they are taken later in the month??

Somebody help me I am feeling really cr*p at the mo as I am doing so bad

On a plus side I should have enough groceries to last for the month, just buying milk veg etc

Sorry to be such a downer :(

My debits come out later in the month so panic not, for one day very soon, my annual allowance will plummet alarmingly :rotfl: This challenge is THE roller coaster ride of your moneymad life. But it's fun and well worth the effort so give yourself a round of applause for taking the challenge in the first place :T

Just dropping in to wish you all good luck:beer: . I have been following the thread and think it will be really interesting reading how everyone is doing.
I've got enough challenges to deal with at the moment so not joining in but i will be cheering you all on from the sidelines:j :j :j and maybe chucking in an idea here and there:D .
Nyk will be interested to read your £10 menu plan. I have some really cheap meals that i throw in now and again during the month, but would be good to have more.:D

PS if anyone wants to stock up on birthday cards to see them thru the challenge "Card factory" are doing 10 individual cuties, good quality ones, for £1 but only for a short time. I bought 50 to see me thru the year.
