On November 1st 2022, I became debt free after spending most of my adult life in debt. The last 11 months have have fallen in love with saving money and planning for the future which for us is going to be early retirement. The plan was for me to leave my current full time job at 55 and use my pension and eBay takings as an income. We were also looking to move to West Wales and downsize.
That plan has now changed, we could not find a property we liked that did not need work of some description, size of garden, traveling time from where we live now(where our family are), my mother is currently not in the best of health and  I didn't want to be traveling for hours in an emergency.
So the new plan is to continue working for a few more years, I was 55 in September. My job is emotionally draining some day, its noy physical, so doable for a few more years yet, I am free to work from a office or home the choice is mine. Mr D currently works three days a week and will continue to work until I chose the retire. He need to be busy and like structure to his day.
Will be looking into merging my pensions and taking the tax free money along with a monthly drawdown, there is one pension that can not be moved until I am 60, due to the company its with, also can do anything with my current pension.
Looking to save as much as possible in the next few year while still enjoying holidays etc. There are a few job that I want done to our current house, a new kitchen being one, didn't have this done while we were thinking of selling as we saw it as wasted money. So few bit to be done to get us to a place where we can enjoy our retirement when it happens.

Busy work day, been out and about since early this morning. Spent £4.15 on food late morning, low spend month will improve. Travel expenses for last month submitted, when they are paid into my old current account next week, I will update payroll with my new current account details.
Car has been booked in for her MOT and Service on the 13th, sinking pots are ready to foot the bill, used to so worry about paying this bill not so long ago. Now all my travel expenses go into pots to fund my car, makes life so much easier.
Cashed out £5.56 from Prolific and £10.00 voucher from a games app.
Also picked up a large bag of free bubble wrap today, save me buying more bubble wrap for a few weeks.

Yesterday was a NSD. Today I am out and about with work, will take a flask of coffee, instead of buying one in-between appointments.

Chicken taken out of the freezer along with tomato sauce for dinner this evening.
