Do RWG renew all their bundles on the same day?

I'm with RWG and things I've read on here plus something that happened to my account suggest that they've changed their system so all their bundles renew on the first day of the month or thereabouts.

This seems a bit strange to me if it's true. What about those people who buy a bundle on a date half way through a month?

  • My free bundle always renews on the 25th of the month
On their website they say they will renew on 1st of the month, perhaps this is a change they have just started and the old customers keep the original renewal date.

This has been asked before and the consensus seems to be that recent cards renew of 1st of the month but older cards renew on the date they were activated. Our family has one of each and they follow this procedure.

I think the "free without topping up" offer continues to keep the initial date, but the £5 and £15 topup offers refresh around 9pn on the 1st of the month. Pay bundles run for 30 days from. activation I believe.
  • Iv got the £15 free bundle and it still renews on the 25th like always

We're all curious about what "something that happened to my account" means. Was it anything to do with changing onto a free bundle?

Were you with rwg before the £15 offer came out? Other half and I joined rwg six weeks apart but bundle renews late on 1st of the month. Daughter is on the £5 bundle and started hers a week after mine and that renews at the same time.
  • Yes,been with them nearly 2 years, when the bundle was free no payment needed. Then changed 2 the £15 free bundle, for the bigger free allowance

I joined on about 10th August, daughter on 21st, I think other half had an active sim by end of aug but didn't port to it until end of Sept. Allowance for all three has refreshed each month in the night of 1st/2nd

    >We're all curious about what "something that happened to my account" means. Was it anything to do with changing onto a free bundle?<

What happened was that I had a £6 per month bundle starting, for example, on the 14th day of the month and it suddenly gained extra life which took it to the end of the next month rather than the 13th of that month. I got the impression that they were aligning all bundles with the month end.

I top-up my account using Now Mobile vouchers as they seem to immediately credit to my account whereas when I topped up via the website with a debit card the payment didn't credit my account until I emailed them. I manually apply my £6 bundle each month. I'd quite like it to renew automatically each month but I think you can only do that if you set up debit card payments - which, as I've described, I don't have full confidence in

OK. Will be interesting to see if others have the same experience.
So after topping up your balance do you then buy the bundle each month? Is it not possible to set the bundle to recur taking the money from your balance?
